So far I have put around 8 hours into the test and am loving it. But there is one thing that annoys me. I don’t know if there has been a change to damage for the svt 38 and g 41 rifles, but they feel much weaker than in the berlin test. I know that changes were made in CR that may have been transferred to Enlisted. However, I feel that the damage from the svt and g41 should be the same as their bolt action equivalents (kar98 and mosin) since they fire the same round. With current damage requiring 2-3 hits to down if you dont headshot semi automatic rifles just dont seem viable. On top of this the semi auto rifles are rare and hard to find and I feel that I am no longer eager to equip a full squad with these rifles and would rather just use bolt actions for a guaranteed one hit down/kill.

So using the actual numbers shown in game. The base mosin does 15 base damage while the svt only does 8.5. The kar does 15 while the gewher does 9. Id definitely love to see the semi autos bumped up to 11-12, thus giving them some viability instead of doing half of other guns using the same ammo.

These rifles should do more damage. They have their own weaknesses, like the recoil, which is significant, the rarity, the faster use of ammunition. Most importantly, it should be better than a bolt action. That’s why you have to unlock it, why it was more expensive for the wartime nations to make, and why they made fewer.
The recoil is great enough that you can’t really be too fast making follow up shots without missing one or two, and if it takes 3 shots to kill, in my 10 round mag I now only have 3 stowed kills, versus up to 5 in a 5 round stripper clip fed bolt action. If you come into a situation where there’s a full enemy squad close range that don’t see you, and you have a semi-auto rifle, you should be able to do significantly more damage than if you had a bolt action.
As it stands, it’s easier to rapidly acquire target with the bolt action and take down the whole squad despite taking longer to fire each shot.
