Am i misremembering? Could you always send hero soldier to the rear?
I just missclicked and sent Hermann Bix to the rear instead of other tanker 3, i thought you couldn’t do that so i didn’t check the stupid yellow text?

You couldn’t always, but not that long ago it was changed. I sent several worthless hero’s to the rear to get soldiers with far more upside.
Why would you sell a hero?
Us heroes are hard to find.

Wouldn’t more logical step be to just give legacy heros max stats instead of causing this? For 5 god damn years of this cursed game you couldn’t now you suddenly can and support won’t help with this shit.
They can but they won’t because support is useless

They made it possible a couple updates ago so they wouldn’t have to deal with redistributing non-maxxed hero soldiers. This way the responsibility is pushed onto the players themselves - “just sell your useless heroes and pray that you get their maxxed versions from the silver crates.” It’s a lazy and nonplayer-friendly way to “fix” it. As a side note, I personally wouldn’t recommend selling any of them, you’ll just pollute your silver crates and lower your chances of pulling something decent from them.
They should have never released hero soldiers who were not max level soldiers, however, I have often questioned the business sense of this company, and just another example of why I continue to do so.

Yes yes i sold it on accident, what’s the point if you just re add it into your chest pool, lowering your chances of getting soldiers you want? It makes zero sense and no one fkin complained about it being stupid when it was introduced last patch?

Yeah, sorry to hear that, it’s an honest mistake that wouldn’t have happened if the devs came up with an actual solution, not this customer-unfriendly mess. I hope the support team takes your complaints seriously. 
There is a limit on how many soldiers you can have in the reserve.
If you exceed the limit you can no longer purchase new soldier.
If there is no way to sell hero soldiers they will make you unable to purchase new soldier.
Players with premium account might not notice it because they have much bigger reserve.
