Suggestion: Seed-Based Map Variation
Many of us have played the same maps for a long time, and they can get repetitive. I’d like to suggest a seed system (the same principle used in procedural generation) to add variety while keeping maps believable.
How it could work:
- Each match gets a seed that slightly varies an existing map: cover positions, terrain details, objective layouts and spawn locations.
- The base map stays recognizable, so balance and historical identity are preserved.
Key rules to keep it logical:
- Spawn distance: both teams should start far enough apart that players have time to move, position and plan, instead of fighting immediately.
- Logical terrain: a desert shouldn’t be one flat block of sand. Even small variations like dunes, rocks, dips and ridges would create natural cover and better tactical play.
- Combat logic: terrain and cover should create real attack routes and defensive positions, not chaotic open space.
Why it’s worth it:
- Fresh matches on familiar maps
- More tactical depth and replayability
- Less repetition without losing the historical feel

Top: the same layout every match. Bottom: the same map with different seeds, where dunes and rocks (cover) shift slightly each time, but both teams still spawn far apart.
