So I noticed that for some time, several (if not all) premium squads have the option to add a secondary weapon, but the ability to unlock it is, well… locked, with the description: “This research will be available in future versions of the game”
Well apparently this has been planned for as long as I can remember, which IIRC was when Stalingrad was released in May of '22. My question is, when are we gonna get this much needed unlock? It would improve the QOL of premium squads by a ton. I know I would like to have FG-42s as secondaries for my Kiraly 43M squad so I can use a paratrooper rifle for a paratrooper squad.
IT WAS a feature. Some squads already could, like the motorcycle squads, or plane squads, maybe tankers thought I’m not sure about them (I die with my tank so rarely give them more than sidearms)
Not only that, it was unlocked for ALL premium squads for a short while. Ppk squads and even riflemen squads were versatile.
They locked it again and give false reasons (it causes bugs, it’s too difficult yada yada) to justify it.
quickly delete that comment and picture: if df sees this they will remove the function (it’s a bug, but meh, makes motorcycle worthwhile). And the way they remove things, they’ll probably make so that motorcycle guys can only equip sidearms from now on with the dumb justification “that it was too difficult to correct, it was a bug”.
