Secondary Objective - we have to speak!

First off all I love the idea of secondary objectives. It can be a great addition to the gameplay.

But, how it’s done in the airfield map is simply not good. There should be missions like destroy enemy 88 cannons or ammunition & fuel depots to reduce tank, air, etc. support.

There are serveral threads with ideas about this. Please, don’t stop with posting your ideas so Keofox and the devs will hopefully consider to improve the secondary objectives.

i think a good secondary objective would be an equipment drop site where a bunch of random equipment is airdropped every so often, like extra medkits/tools, grenade boxes, ammo crates and light vehicles, and the type of equipment airdropped will depend on what team controls the zone so if the axis controls it axis equipment will be dropped and vice versa for the allies

Outstanding idea! There are already destroyable 88 cannons. Making them secondary objectives would be wonderful!

Agree. And it’s important to highlight the way: HOW to complete the secondary objective:

  • Imo, theres should be some 88 Gun or Supply depot as you mentioned, but If the attackers want to complete it, they should place a bomb next to the objective, while Holding down “F” button, or simply just spend a bit more time around objective to capture that area. - Shortly: Direct player activity need to complete.

I think its would be important, cause if the objective would be simple like: “Destroy AA gun”…tha tank or plane comes and bomb it down as hell ,and done.

We have to avoid the mechanism of “Ballons shoot” when it simple like click with mouse button, right?

That’s a good point. The objectives should not be completed by tanks or aircrafts. They should be taken by infantry only.

I’d like to see, as maybe as secondary objective on a conquest map, each team with its own 88mm flak cannon and until you’ve destroyed the enemy 88 your team only has a fighter slot, no bombers.

Also maybe they could have an invasion point where the attackers have a very narrow playable area for advancing but they can “capture enemy intelligence” somewhere on the map in order to widen the playable area. So the attackers could just power through the push on ‘hard mode’ or complete the secondary objective to turn it into a more traditional point to attack.
