Scripted missions

you know what would really refresh the repetitive gameplay of this game? Scripted missions. Ever since I started playing something didn’t sit well with me in naming battles, missions? these games are limited to “go there, do that. win screen”, in addition, players who don’t use the potential of immersion gameplay to its fullest, limiting themselves to run&gun doesn’t help.

surely many of you remember the usrr campaign in cod2, where at the end the building where the germans barricaded themselves in is blown up, i mean this kind of thing, I remember being completely amazed at the scale of this event, so much so that it has stuck with me to this day. additionally, this could be powered by bots, creating a kind of cod2 coop missions. the main point is that the battle should end with something spectacular, that it should be a pursuit of a specific goal other than simply winning.

maybe this is a suggestion far beyond the current capabilities of df&gajin, but given that gajin really likes to develop its games to the limit while gathering the largest possible audience, i think this is a great idea for another mode from the segment of RB/SB etc we already know. not to mention that with proper marketing, such a move would generate new players like mushrooms after rain.

Additionally, it always seemed to me that combining all the existing game modes that df provided us with in one game would be something really interesting, here it would be possible, e.g. take this point - but something will happen, go to this place because a convoy will pass by and capture it, go there because there is a bridge there, blow it up before the enemy gets there, etc. etc.

I have met such “scary” people in the game, that after having cleared the point in attack, only at my third invitation to “attack the zone” did they decide to enter and steal the point. What you propose, but Enlisted is a free to play game, where often 30%-40% of the people you have on your team don’t even build a spawn point… I think you’re asking too much.

I know what the realities of this game look like, I also have had many moments of tearing my hair out because my teammates do not understand what this game is all about.

after all, a game in which a scripted factor is implemented does not differ much in principle, and it could also be organized in such a way that if a given goal is not achieved, something else happens, so that there is no way that the general concept remains wasted. Maybe it would even lead to situations where players deliberately abandon the mission objective just to see its outcome? jk

although…

now that I read it, it would probably be an extremely difficult challenge to develop, there would be no scope for mass production and developers might prefer to base their work on quantity and make players create quality for themselves. That’s probably the case.

I think it’s always worth asking though, who knows, maybe we’ll get such a function at least in the editor?
