I think, and i realy give my self the job of thinking something, then i see all posibilitys and see. it,s to soon to and more feature in the game since we barele explored the ones that are alerdy in the game.
a mechanized infantry is something very diferent from a motorcicle or a jeep. so leets keep in mind is comparing one unit whit another type of unit.
the pont is, Scout squads composed by some infantry and a fast vehicle is far more easy to get donne,
for what tactical purpuse a scout squad can be? then things get tasty
there are two possible configurations for a scout squad, sniper and assaulter, has well always carry a radio man or engenier. make the structure up to the player choose.
a scout squad is ideal for quick capture a point, so the perfect time to deploy one, is when you taked one objetive and want to go quick to the next before the defenders do something about. also if choosen sniper stucture for guerrilha one will be nice to relocated your troops.
so my point is DEV,s scout squads have alot to do, so don,t rush in the very hardcoded halftrunks to soon it,s not cost beneficial to comunity and that is my final position in the debate.

Give the infantry an armored train and it will be fun.

it,s not about mechanized infantry, is about it,s to hardcoded to make it properly, the point is make a scout type of squad, that don,t have enough man for a determined assault, but mobility enough to be the friest how got in the position.
yeah, that,s why we talking about it, it should become something in all campaings and whit diferent vehicles, like jeeps. the ideia is simpler that a mechanized infantry that,s what this topic is about.
you’ve been quite " crazy " with armored trains there were not used outside very few occasions and would imply way too much work ( starting from adding railways so that this train would go on it and can even move ).
speaking of op,
scout vehicles are often referred to armored ( still light ) cars.
with usually anti infatry fire power.
weather it could be fun to use them, might not be that much as getting stomp from it.
because let’s not forget those are mobile mgs.
and the problem that arises ( even for halftracks for that matter ), maps are relatively small. you don’t really have to travel so far to scout or deal with enemy infantry.
plus, good luck against anti tank rifles.
( let alone finding vehicles that are equal in terms of faction. which, it’s nearly impossible. )
which i don’t get. and i ain’t here to change.
but i don’t see how light anti tank vehicles takes priority over halftracks that can carry way more troops ( and therefore be more usefull ) than a car mainly used to farm kills quite easely and mine the already “hard” infantry gameplay because other vehicles.

We already have scout vehicles and they all have a broken damage model. Ba 11,AB 41,Daimler,Puma.Or you about low power scout vehicle?
But armored trains are mandatory.
And they may well be used(Moscow,Berlin(maybe))
I wrote about them somewhere.
