Nerfing the Scotti Naval Rifle two weeks after selling it to us is nasty work in itself, I only bought this worthless season pass for the three rifles and now I feel completely cheated out of my money.
With my personal complaint aside, it seems to me that the playerbase actually wanted it to be stronger. When it came out one of my friends argued that there is no reason to ever use it over the StG44. I countered by saying that its a “sidegrade”, the magazine size makes it objectively worse for close quarters but it could be better for medium/long range shooting with proper trigger discipline. Now that’s completely out the window because they increased the fire rate and removed the semi-auto firing mode. Now it’s just a serious downgrade to StG44 and should never be used in any situation…
AVT-40 20 is stronger than both FG42 II and Feddy so if anything it should be Naval rifle that would get massive buff to catch up with superior Soviets
Scotti recoil vs Fedorov (15 rounds) same perks (Hori + vert 1/4)
What a disappointing gun. They fixed nothing outside of horizontal recoil, dmg is still pathetic and soviets can just move gun to the left and have 10 more rounds to shoot and don’t need to worry about vertical recoil at all.
Now it has the same issues as the Beretta M1918 - high fire rate with low magazine size and insane vertical recoil. Except one of the guns is BR II and the other is SUPPOSEDLY BR V…
Well, Eury said that the Scotti will be balanced based on the Fed and the patch notes state that its recoil was adjusted due to the Fed so I guess that was a good one.
Nothing was balanced around Fedorov. Feddy can kill way more people with it’s larger magazine and it also doesn’t need to go vs Soviet armor. Plus you can have unlimited amount of them in your lineup while Scotti is limited to 4 so it should be even stronger than Fedorov, not by much just a little. Make it for real like Fedorov with 25 rounds but with 10% better recoil and that’s it. No need to change anything else (like rof). Any skilled player won’t see any difference but new players would have easier time adapting to guns with a bit higher recoil.
like I have said before, either give it a 25 round magazine and lower the vertical recoil, or put it back the way it was before at 570 rpm, drop the hitting power to 10 and put it in BR3 where it belongs. Nobody, and I mean NOBODY is going to use it in BR5. At BR5, It’s garbage, it’s Muff cabbage.
I really liked it at the original 570 with 4/4 vertical perks but tbh I would be fine with the fire rate changes if they didnt take away the option to switch to semi-auto…
