If a player buys a prem vehicle but is too bad to get the score to use it, he should simply get better.
skill issue that you did not forsee that such a radical change would be made a year later? Great logic here…
Tanks should be nerfed if anything XD. Absolutely schizo to even mention vehicle needing buffs.
When every time you go anywhere (even with your team) you are in great danger anyway? When you can get sniped cross-map by rocket launchers?
playing tanks can be very frustrating if the enemy team is actually useing the tools they get to deal with it.
The M1 bazooka for example is braindead easy to use and still lolpens most tanks it can see frontally at any range. So how are tank so OP if it just takes a random guy and a launcher to ruin your grinded for tank.
I am sorry but the maps where tanks can just sit in the greyzone and just delete infantry unimpeded are maybe 10% of the maps meanwhile the amount of caps that tanks cant do anything at all (since everything is indoor) eclipses the number by far.
Everything is relative.
People just don realise that this would never be as simple as “just introduce a score theshold for vehicles”. The current system was and stull is built around ready access.
Currently;
-
Every infantry and motorised/mechanised squad has access to handheld AT weaponry (with the exception of guerillas and saboteurs).
-
All soldiers can equip TNT bundles and TNT chatges.
-
We now have multiple squad types designed to operate inside the greyzone, as another tool to deal with tanks.
-
Vehicle marks effectively highlights enemy armour to the whole team.
-
Engineer and AT squads can build AT guns anywhere on the map.there is no real counter-play to this.
-
AT mining roads is a effective strategy on the defensive.
-
Aircraft are brittle and suffer noticeable perfoemance reduction even from just light damage, and usually can’t be repaired (except in the Pacific if you’re flying carrier aircraft).
-
AA guns are a hard counter to aircraft.
Tanks are, actually, quite easy to deal with. So much so, that the major argument foe why score thresholds should be adopted is because it would make vehicle destruction more impactful upon gameplay.
Can greyzone camping tanks be annoying…? Absolutely. But score thresholds would simply reinforce such behaviour. Why should you play aggressive, when you’ve grinded for several minutes for rhe shiny new tank you’ve been wanting to use…? Every infantry squad has the potential to deal with your presence, even at range…
Of course you wouldn’t! You’d hang back and do yohr best to make the most of it!
Score thresholds would only work if;
-
Handheld AT was limmited to only AT squads.
-
TNT was limmited to AT soldiers and Engineers.
-
AT guns was limited to only Engineer squads.
-
Premium vehicle squads had 1/10th the price.
-
All aircraft could repair on all maps.
-
Remove vehicle marks.
As well as several other changes I’m probably not thinking off right now.
In short, it’d be a significant undertaking to balance correctly, in more than just gameplay terms. It’s just not worth it, it’s not the cure you think it is.
With 1/10th of their price what do you exactly mean by that
I think it’s reasonable to say that if you bought a vehicle but you haven’t played the game enough to even use it then that’s your fault.
I disagree a little bit because this game is about instant action. While in most games flamethrowers are a pickup or something in this game you can literally have multiple squads of flamethrowers at any time
This game centers around constant action with vehicles constantly spawning. That’s why we have AT squads can put AT in many other squads, because the threat of vehicles is constant. But if vehicles can only be score streaks then it turns them into rare threats and players may not bother using them since all that time you spent to play as a vehicle is wiped away in a second because you get one shotted by something
You get no right to take it away.
What am I trying to take away?
Terrible take. I have no clue why should be forced to farm some pseudo points just to play vehicles I have bought with irl money.
Go play Arma or whatever.
This is just a 15-day April Fool’s Day event historical campaign that lets you experience authentic World War I history. If you don’t want to play it, you can always continue playing the Enlisted World War II campaign mode. After all, there’s nothing to complain about. If World War I hadn’t happened, there wouldn’t be these fully automatic weapons and armored vehicles in World War II. This game focuses on history, rather than emphasizing the fast-paced, action-packed gameplay like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.
Ho ho ho. So, I spent money on premium tanks and can’t play what I paid for? ARE YOU NOT TAKING ON TOO MUCH?
Sorry, you Cold War-era gamers who enjoy fast-paced action games like War Thunder and Call of Duty aren’t suited for World War I and II. You crave the thrill of shooting, while Enlisted focuses on recreating historical details. So, your small group of players can’t change the minds of the majority.
you won’t get all of this
Yes, I remember reading something similar in a soldier’s memoir. How he had to kill enemy soldiers with a shovel handle to earn a rifle or receive reinforcements. Also, allied tanks wouldn’t engage until the infantry had killed a certain number of enemy soldiers.
You could suggest that the developers lower the requirements for completing game missions, or allow players to purchase a battle pass to obtain all event weapons.
You know, breaking the fundamentals of a game’s gameplay is like killing the game.
The horror of World War I lay in its demonstration of the brutality of modern warfare: the overwhelming bombardment, the encirclement by heavy machine guns and barbed wire, and the pointless suicidal charges by infantry on both sides. Looking back now, the sight of British and German soldiers exchanging Christmas greetings during the armistice, and even playing football on the battlefield, seems all the more precious. It is through this historical event that I have come to appreciate the cruelty of war and the value of peace. I sincerely hope that peace can last forever, rather than allowing ordinary people to harm each other for the greed and lies of politicians.
