Score points changes

Enlisted so far has massive issues with how people play - as in nobody is playing the objective or doing useful, helpful stuff, but instead is mostly concerned about self preservation and getting kills. Game play and the mechanics of each game mode is very objective focused, meaning just getting kills - no matter how many you get - it is borderline useless if the rest of your team is following suit and you and your team don’t focus on the objectives also. Kills don’t cap points - there are many times my team has won by a significant margin even though we have significantly less kills and were getting hammered by artillery and bombs. Even though there is very little team work and coordination, team play is still important and it often arises naturally when the team understands to play the objective, spot enemies and enemy fortifications/rally points, and do other things which assist in capturing or defending objectives such as a well making a placed rally point, building fortifications, destroying vehicles or using a vehicle to wipe out enemy squads in one go. However, when you have a team filled with the players I mentioned earlier (no objective play, not building anything, concerned with self preservation and kills), the opposing team only has to play the objective slightly and it is a complete steam roll.
There are a myriad of ways to improve this (such as better team balancing), but one of them I believe is restructuring how scoreboard points are given out. For example:

  1. Spotting enemies and marking the map earns experience and assist kill points if a team or squad member kills an enemy in the vicinity of the spot or map mark.

  2. On the scoreboard, assist kills, zone defense kills, zone capture points, “team assist” (more on that further down) and vehicles destroyed contribute a larger amount of points to the players total score and to the experience earned, and will also do more so than kills. On top of this, the amount regular kills contribute to experience and the total score should be slightly reduced.

  3. Building fortifications, gun emplacements and rally points all should net points that contribute to the total score as well as experience.

  4. A new section on the score board called “team assist” or something along those lines should be created. This is where points earned for building fortifications, rally points, placing mines and building gun emplacements should go. Points earned from team members spawning on your rally point will also go here. “Team assist” points should count more to the player total score and experience gained than kills do.

  5. Those who earn a “best ______” (best assaulter or best pilot for example) gain a bit of extra experience.

  6. Another section to the scoreboard that could be added is “zone assist”. From my understanding it is fairly easy to gain zone defense kills and that you do not need to be inside the zone to get those points or necessarily defend it. You only need to be in the vicinity of the zone and kill enemies that are either in the zone or near it (though I could be wrong), meaning everyone could camp behind the capture zone and still get heaps of zone defense kills, even though the enemy took it easily. It doesn’t seem necessary to hold the objective at the same time. To rectify this, either the way you get zone defense kills is changed or a new section for the scoreboard called “zone assist” gets added. To get zone assist points, all you have to do is order your squad bots to the objective zone or stay inside the zone yourself. Points get added to “zone assist” when you or your squad bots stay inside the zone - the longer you stay the more points you rack up. Naturally, the amount that this contributes the players total score and experience is less than other things because it is quite easy to do, but the aim is to incentivise people to actually play the objective and hold it, as well as give a better indication on the scoreboard of who is pulling their weight.

  7. A section added to the scoreboard called “vehicle kills” - essentially counts all the kills you get from inside a vehicle or operating a gun emplacement (both the ones that the engineers can build and the ones already found on the map). If a team member operates a gun emplacement that you built, the one operating it gets the kills but both get points contributed to their total score.

  8. Doing things relevant to the squad/class role (like building stuff as an engineer, calling in artillery as the radioman, destroying vehicles as a bomber etc) should now contribute to the player total score and contribute a lot to the experience gained for that squad and individual soldier.
