Same gray area for both armies

I think a lot of people will disagree with this, especially tankers, but I still think it’s worth expressing my opinion. The gray area or the area that limits the maps must be the same for both the axis and the allies, that is, both share the same limitation and free space on the map, doing this would solve 80% of the tank problem that wander around the limits or in the gray zone itself and are practically invincible if they are not destroyed with some aircraft, this would also mean that both the defending and attacking teams have the same advantages to flank and attack by surprise, since currently, a team, regardless of whether Whether you are a defender or an attacker, you have a larger gray area than the other side, which gives you a slight but important advantage over the other, plus one way or another, it would be much more comfortable. This is more of a personal suggestion and perhaps very few will agree but I will still be attentive to your responses and opinions.

They grey zone is clearly problematic on many maps. The biggest problem when it comes to discussions on it is that people blame players for exploiting it instead of map designers for making it exploitable.

It’s also very dependent on the specific maps, but the discussion very rarely gets into such details, and instead is overly broad.

The train map is a good comparison to many maps, thanks to it’s large playable area and consistent grey zone for both sides. The biggest problems seen there are related to spawn camping issues; exacerbated when teams are overmatched, and the limited flanking opportunities; exacerbated by the completely linear design of the map itself.

Those problems could be fixed without creating more grey zones. They could add more spawn points and create more playable map area along the sides of the tracks; widening the battle zone and adding more variation to the gameplay.

there’s spawn protection though, if a team can’t push back enemy whilst having spawn protection i have nothing more to say

Victim blaming and assumptive reasoning are shaky ground to build an argument on. There’s nothing wrong with giving maps more spawn points with better defilade from possible enemy positions.

I will say that I don’t think there is anything wrong with the gray zone or camping

But I do think something like this would give us a true sandbox battle with no limits

This problem disappears once you get the 80mm mortar.

Even without the greyzone, the literally worst thing you can do to your team is wasting time, and if you need 5 minutes to outflank the entire frontline only to blow up one single tank - which is gonna respawn in less than 20 seconds anyways, than the enemy tank has traded one death for you being practically AFK for 5 minutes.

The grey zone does not only protect from spawn camping, it also prevents stupid people from taking the bait on losing the match.

You guys have no idea what you are complaining about.

I recommend trying TommyZZM Big Action Mod. Gives you a taste of what Enlisted is like Largescale. More than worth your time.

https://sandbox.enlisted.net/post/lIXaTtfV9x0bZT61/

Features:

  • Complete Full Map Freedom
  • No greyzone
  • Buildable Light mechanized vehicles (Jeeps and rally Trucks)
  • 40 v 40

*Note: It is necessary to understand you can build jeeps and multiple rally points (also vehicle rally points) so you dont fall into the trap of thinking its a walking simulator.

And much more. For more details see
