As it stands, I’ve played the map about five or six times now, and don’t know what the third capture point is…
These kill lanes on either side of the cathedral are murderous and leave me wondering how I’m supposed to get close when MG’s and Snipers frame me on both sides. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Maybe instead of having Vaux go lengthwise to change things up, we try turning it a little further to the opposite direction? I’ve no idea how to fix this, jjust that Vaux, as it is right now, seems pretty easy-peasy as Axis.
Give it some time it’ll get sorted out. Personally I find a little armor support can break up those fire lanes
I have only played it on the alied side so far multiple times.
Since I finished the axis side 1 or 2 months ago, I didn’t play with them yet there.
I m yet to loose a game on that map. Kinda balanced to be fair.
Map is fun as hell.
Is this the one where you approach from the broadside of the chapel, or it’s narrow? The narrow grants them a lot of fire superiority in the approach lanes, and I’m running into massive trenchworks and sniper hides inside the cathedral once there.
You need a mix of ppl pushing the objective and ppl that interrupt the enemy team.
If you can hinder the defenders in reinforcing the objective with manpower the objective falls relatively quickly.
But it needs a whole dedicated team. And here come bots into play.
They don’t use clever tactics like flanking.
At the weekend I played some matches (at times where it seemed that not many players played).
The matches were a pain in the ass.
So from my point of view. The maps are okay. But often we don’t have neough players.
The player are the issue of all multiplayer game
an example: once playing RS2 I ran into a useless commander is the kindest word I can say, he threw himself at enemies, he did not use orders, he insulted in chat plus he was in a group of players that every time one tried to take the commander’s place, they prevented it by killing the new commander or kik him from the match, I quit that game after 5 minutes and told myself this is the lowest level a player can reach, then I came up enlisted and found dumber players than a bot, the worst never ends
I played all the variants so far. Only on allied side.
Not a single loose yet. So far, I see it balanced and a trully fun map to play. And from what I see, once they give us more campaign levels to play on, I see no reason to win as a axis player there. What ever the map layout is.
Not a single issue. One of my favorite maps so far.
I have or had not a single issue winning on normandy on both sides on what ever map,. Some require a bit more try hard, but still manageable.
For me, Ruins of Vaux is one of the easiest maps for Allies, in fact, I can’t remember when is the last time I lost on this map. It had so many covers around and so many routes to take as the invader. All firing points around the cathedral can take out easily, just flank them or snipe them.
