ngl, thats an incredible looking map considering what you had to work with.
I just wish the rendinst limits weren’t so damn strict and enlisted servers could handle more weight. I had to cut lots of buildings to make it work.
Yes, I played this map. Unfortunately, I couldn’t fully appreciate it because I encountered it in defense, and there were only bots.
I think I saw you come in when I testing my mod.
The same problem exists with terraforming. Navmeshes for heavily terraformed maps are indecently heavy.
I have 110 problems with the editor and 95 of them are related to navmesh. It is the bane of my existence. I can’t even count how many of my maps stopped working because the navmesh made the file size too big
I can’t remember that. What kind of map were you testing?
Nothing too special. It’s simply a fortified area map with a custom profile and some minor tweaks - new ravines, bunkers, houses, vehicles, and weapons have been placed across the map.
Now i remember that map! The profiles were really fun especially kp 31 squad
I decided to replace it with kiraly in the final version. In the future, I plan to replace weapons in several more squads.
Excellent point.
Ruhr for USA-UK - agreed.
Manila - agreed but also suggest Singapore for low BR and British-Commonwealth map.
@c4qph2 Yes, I have suggested New Guinea many times for a proper jungle eg the Kokoda Track.
The first time the Japanese were beat on land (by my countrymen Australians)
@iso_seppo123 Very impressed with custom Manila map, really well done!
Considering how slow and lazy the devs are with new maps they should open queues up to custom maps at same time as standard maps (but must be realistic to WWII)
Yes, it would be really cool to see all these maps. However, the picture is a bit clouded by the fact that the developers can’t make a map ONLY for the Commonwealth or ONLY for Australia. Unless all the Americans get British and Australian alter egos just for those maps.
Hmm, in theory, the Soviets could get Korean and Vietnamese alter egos for the Korean and Indochina wars, and the Americans could get French alter egos.
Yes, more late-war theatre for US/UK vs Germany especially we haven’t had any large urban warfare featuring them similar to Battle of Berlin.
Fair point, noting too that Manila was a U.S only battle.
I made a post about this suggesting auto uniform swap for UK-USA similar to Italy on most Eastern Front maps.
New Guinea standard British uniforms would be fine. (though 1st Agas uniforms should be freely available for all soldiers anyway)
