The Roussel R.30 was a French fighter-bomber from 1938. It was only 1 made until it got Transferred in Bordeaux where it an Fire happened and the only Roussel R-30 got Destroyed. It got destroyed because in 1940 the Germans Invaded France and as the Germans attacked Bordeaux, the Hangar or Containment of the Roussel R-30 catched fire.

what BR1 aircraft is it comparable to 2 20mm cannons and 250kg bomb

It might be a BR2 plane because of the armaments

The Germans got an 250kg Bomb in the Potez, the Japanese have only 60kg bombs if the D3A1 would be lowered to BR 1 it would be having aswell 250kg Bombs, what got the Allies right Nothing but 45kg Bombs which are Useless.

the potez 633 is a ungainly twin engine bomber slower by 100 kph and only armed with to ineffective 7.5mm guns

adding this would require a similar plane for all four factions

This would make a good event plane. But I do have some questions. How they are answered will change which battle rating I would vote for it to be. Btw, you should include a poll for BR.

  1. Would this be classified as a fighter or an attacker?

  2. How many rounds of 20mm is being proposed?

  3. What is the rough estamated turn speed?

I wanted to add some more information here because this plane looks neat. Someone made a post about this on the WT forums a couple years ago which I will link below.

This model is meant to be a fighter-bomber. The plan was to mount 20mm Hispano cannons, but due to wartime shortages the prototype instead had wing-mounted 20mm Oerlikon cannons instead. Some sources suggest the cannons were the AS series, which was an older variant that only used 30 round drums. The later FF series Oerlikons (found in many German fighters) and Hispano cannons used 60 round drums in that time period.

As for the bomb, the French 250kg Type DT No. 1 would be slightly weaker than the German and Japanese 250kg bombs in terms of the explosive filler. It’s significantly stronger than the other French bomb we see in game on the Potez, the 200kg No. 1 which was designed to be dropped in numbers by bombers.

I voted for Premium here because I think the amount of work would be considerable for the development team since this wasn’t added to WT and it might be equipped with totally new guns and bombs. The other consideration is that it’s too strong for BR1 and probably couldn’t compete with the BR2 IAR-81C. Because the IAR-81C is so strong and available in the tech tree it’s difficult to make another fighter-bomber for BR2 that would be exciting but not completely overpowered. Offering it as a Premium would give an opportunity to sell a unique vehicle with a French voiced pilot and everything. Maybe that last part is wishful thinking.
