‘Reworking old locations’ Suggestion

‘D-day’ Normandy beach map suggestion: Please raise the first objectives terrain such as portrayed for example in the movie ‘saving private Ryan’ and many other movies/documentaries. It would be nice to have during the first objective of the map to include areas of a beach as already implemented, though with a long steep cliff/ridge which consist of (atleast 2) tall bunkers in which are tucked into the cliff/ridge in place of the current stone wall. Possibly for the tank routes to include (atleast 2) slim passages that cut through the steep cliff/ridge on the outskirts/edges of the map on the far sides of the bunkers. Thank you devs for your generous ‘Reworking old locations’ implements!

I agree with this.

In addition/ at the very least there should be no holes in the bunkers to start with. They should require TNT charges or aircraft bombs (not artillery) to break initially. There should also be a more effective way to reseal it.
Perhaps by making a permanent buildable outline in that space that engineers can dump resources into and keep rebuilding.

Please don’t change the current Normandy map, most of Normandy is actually quiet flat.
However there is a location that really looked like as it was portrayed in the movies:
pointe du hoc: famously adopted in CoD 2.

The truth is that American media purposefully lied about the terrain to ease public outrage over the huge losses suffered during the landing.
Later movie adoptions follow similar mindset.

what if the axis/allies have a initial task of building/fortifying/repairing something in order to get some sort of boost?

for example: axis task - barricade/rebuild holes in bunkers, or fortify marked weak points on map
allies task - build some cover, dig trenches and so on

these tasks would give a varying boosts, such as extra reinforcements, reduced waiting time for respawn and so on

I’d be all for that.

Honestly, I’d like to see this in ALL maps, on Invasion mode, not just DDay.
