The current event format has many flaws,with the main ones being certain factions getting much more population and the other decreasing when they unlock a squad for said faction (take the US/GE paratrooper event) due to the squads being unlocked in a preset order,if you have anything that happens to where you are unavailable to grind for next to every day you cannot get all the rewards,and other issues.my proposition to try to improve this is relatively simple,and can be done fairly easily.
The solution to the squad order issue is really quite simple,instead of having squads in the line,have universal tickets avalaible to purchase whatever squad you want,so we dont have as bad of population flux due to event squads.
The issue of missing the event can be (in my thinking) be found in the vertan box,where if you land on that event that you couldnt do,for each stage you have completed,you get a certain amount of silver refunded to you,and if there is one stage you missed you get around a 95% refund.
