Rework the training camp V.2

I’m proposing my idea to rework the camp again, of course this post has already been created but I felt I wasn’t precise enough in my statements and without an image to illustrate… that’s all!

Let’s start with two areas that will primarily serve as decoration! The infantry camp area is designed to replicate rudimentary tent camps; the tents used for the Ardennes map would be more than adequate, in my opinion! It should contain at least one tent with plenty of equipment to enhance immersion and, paradoxically, prevent weapons from being left lying around. As for the hangar, this is subjective, as we could opt for a style identical to the infantry camp, except that it would contain immobilized or damaged tanks! (This will teach players how to repair vehicles.)

Next, shrink the shooting range so that only medium and short-range weapons are used! For snipers, I thought creating an observation post right behind them would be good because it would be visible from spawn, sparking curiosity and reinforcing the solitary nature of sniper combat. And what about practicality? Teach players how to compensate for bullet drop!

Leave the training ground for the tanks!

Move the bombing and place anti-aircraft batteries on the road to train players to shoot down bombers, remove the excess road.

Create an airbase to teach pilots how to take off and land. (This adds potential in-game mechanics.) Create a rural village to teach tankers urban combat and, incidentally, allow them to learn tanking techniques!

the so-called techniques.

There’s plenty of spare room in the training camp currently. It’d also be cool to see moving vehicles like the war thunder test range (perhaps troops in Jeeps moving around some parts of the range so it feels more lively).

would be great if each faction could have its own as well

That would be fantastic! But even just this improvement would make the camp more pleasant and would make people want to come back! :grinning:

Perhaps, each nation should get a flag pole that changes for each nation and any jeeps or trucks found around the map should correspond to each nation.

that wouldnt change much, Im more into having unique surroundings, as testing grounds were made off Normandy

I completely agree about the flag, but I think that’s already the case for the vehicles?

The goal is to improve, not to completely change the game. If the team shows they want to make changes, I wouldn’t be against it, but for now, it’s better to offer them something quick, not too cumbersome, and something that’s already in the game! But again, I agree.

I think you might be asking a bit too much from the Devs, the current training range could feasibly be in any of the 4 nations except Japan.

I dont know how map editor works, but I guess it would only require to replace some things like vegetation and objects eventually. Map itself could stay the same, its the “biome” that would change.

A seasonal system would be nice, but I’m afraid it might be too cumbersome

A system that changes the camp’s texture according to the seasons, like spring, summer, autumn, winter. Real-time would be cool, but I think it must be complicated

I suggested something like this in past
