Medics are just a downgrade of assaulter, and this game mechanism does not let them work as a real medic.
Plz make them work as a real ‘support’ class, not a temporary assaulter for low level user.

They don’t even have an engineer, can’t use two weapons/bags, ammo pouches and the max soldiers are like 5.
Definitely one of the worst squads types in the game

i love medics,
but their squad is kinda… meh.
and do not have room for any other class.
i also hate the fact that once i ran out of syringes i cannot refill them.
or the fact that medics ARE essentially Handicapped assaulters.
like, i’m cool with the fact that they do not have backup reserves ( backpack / grenades pouches ) but their limitation is only on automatic weapons.
what if i would like to use bolt actions and semi automatic weapons instead?
as the americans did issued m1s to combat medics and the germans had other rifles rather than the standard ( k 98 )
which, i have other bolties ( such as the M93, the M2 ross, the other varients of mosins and so on, yet i can’t give them anything other than either smgs or start ba )
therefore here are my suggestions for an actual rework:
Allow medics to use a different variety of weapons ( not to a point where they can use mgs, but as they have limited ammunitions, i don’t see why i can’t give them semi autos or other types of bolt actions )
Allow medics to refill syringes from the medic box at the cost of 1 medkit from that said box
( yes, i know there’s the perk to get more syringes, but it’s still not enough. especially for long engagements of defense and no way to refill them )
Rework base squad to allow more classes. for example, ability to choose add between a sniper / machinegunner and an engineer with additional 2 troops. in my opinion, the class should still be restricted to 5 men. therefore 3 medics, 2 other class role and 1 trooper.
and that would be just about it for me in order to make them somewhat ideal.
I like the class, not so much the squad.
1 support medic in a riflemen squad (or other) is fantastic.
A 5 medic only squad, not so much.
It’s fun to play medic, running around supporting buddies, thought. And being able to smg enemies in self defense. They shouldn’t be regarded as assault troops however.
Seeing this lovely conversation going on I think we need an engineer for the medics they actually make a triage center or something to fix the resupply of Syringes
I see a lot of players here that have expressed their dislike for the soldier type and squad. However, I for one actually really like both!
The medics definitely hold a more niche role than most other classes. The thing is that when you use them, they aren’t supposed to be assaulters primarily. Their job is to support others moving forward. However, the squad itself may not have an engineer slot, which is more so because they are supposed to keep up with the other squads, not hold back to set up fortifications.
I’ve seen plenty of instances where my AI heal nearby troops, but it frustrates me that I don’t get any points rewarded for it.
Personally, I think if medics were to be reworked, that it be through the medboxes and the AI’s interaction with them:
When friendly AI pass by a medbox, they should automatically grab a medkit from it, and heal if possible. The player that put the medbox down should receive points for each interaction from friendly AI and players, making it more worthwhile to use also from a points perspective.
Well if they had a Engineer, like the premium ones, they be better. mumble mumble
