There have been countless times that the “best engineer” award goes to someone that either didn’t use fortifications at all, or extremely few in comparison to others. This is especially aggravating for players that use their engineers to support their team, not just get kills.
I suggest that the “best engineer” reward either be reworked, or another battle hero reward be given for support with engineer fortifications.
All too often there are players that have 100+ fortification points that don’t get the award (and the extra xp that goes with it) simply because someone decided to use their engineer as a sniper or MG gunner and racked up tons of points, even though they may not have actually put down any fortifications to help their team.
like other ‘best class’ awards, its not for supporting the team, it’s for points earned in one life
this would be the best one. i’d recommend an award for most points earned with rally points/ammo boxes, since barbed wire and sandbags tend to hinder rather than help.
me running through that door or window to shoot the enemy in the face is a far better deterrent than your wire which takes them 2 seconds to disassemble
quite true, but, lets say, for bots in building, that wire may give them time to react?, but meh yeah learnt already wire, is a pain for the bots trying to get in.
From your comments, I’m of the assumption you either haven’t had a good engineer on your team, or you completely ignore the setup they’ve provided for you.
Barbwire in doorways and such does seem like what a lot of people do, but a good engineer will put trench wire in the open areas in front of objectives, forcing enemies to take a lot of damage and get stuck in an area without defense, or be forced into chokepoints.
As far as windows with sandbags, take advantage when players put sandbag in window, then another on floor to stand on. It makes you much more efficient and less likely to get dropped by them.
Ok please tell me as i been away, what happened to placing sandbag, moving upwards with the mouse and used to be able to fill whole window, now at least in the Pacific you can not do this, and i think, i haven’t been able to do it in Tunisia either?
I will say it is better to use fortification score rather than fortification points to determine. Since more important engineer action give more point. For example, people spawn on rally point give more score than enemy bullet hit on sandbag. So we can determine by useful thing that engineer did instead of number of action that engineer did.
Lmao you sound pleasant, sorry about this guy lads, someone woke up on the wrong side of their mom’s basement today…calling people minecraft noobs for wanting to be creative with engineers, doesn’t get more toxic than this hahaha
lmao I did leave the game yes, I check back in every now and then to see if people like you are still ruining the fun for everyone else and being jerks for no good reason, pay to win is a reasonable thing to annoy someone whether they can afford to buy it or not, I choose to play other games and not support predatory false advertising and monetization…if you like it keep enjoying your bot farms and driving players away…oh yeah weren’t you the guy bragging about how you drove my entire server off the game? Congrats by the way, takes a real jerk to make hundreds of players give up on the community…keep being excellent at being a toxic shill maybe they will give you an award one day
solid idea, more info on performance after the match in general would be nice, I think we all would like to know how some players seem to outscore us when we have 3-4 times the kills and assists and they didn’t touch the point once…
just ignore rambo over here, nobody cares what they have to say anyways you have some good ideas hopefully the devs listen to you, I gave up long time ago
solid idea, they should probably make the points based on engineer points rather than just kill swith engineer, or make a best support award seperate from best engineer? Just ignore rambo being toxic btw you guys have some good ideas hopefully the devs listen
