Reward for supporting the tank

Idea is simple: tanks are almost defenceless in CQC (at least in Moscow) so they need infantry support.
As randoms don’t care about cooperation I want to encourage them by giving some bonus, like for example increased exp gain when they are within x meters from the tank.
You may argue that it’s rewarding someone for doing sth that is already rewarding, but so far I saw maybe 2 cases in which somebody tried to support friendly tank, so I think more motivation is needed.
Also players may gain additional exp for destroying / dismountling tank barricades etc. near tanks so they have clear way.
Teamplay should be rewarded.

Since we cannot rely on teammates to actually care about their tanks otherwise, I agree with the suggestion.
Encouraging players to support their tanks may as well eventually reduce numbers of braindead tankers (after finding out that teamplay profits them in survivibility and thus returning tank to its role in combat) who drive right into the enemy army or other dangerous zones, and then cry they got killed by TNT pack (which is well deserved result).

This. Teamplay is hardly encouraged in the current state of the game. Nothing “tactical” about it

“protect me while I farm kills”

I will literally never do this.

I play H&G with my two friends, they are both tankers and I’m infantryman with carabine and wrench.
Situation “protect me while I farm kills” happens ony if enemy team consists of complete noobs. 90% of the time I’m buisy repairing them and killing AT infantry, sometimes it’s realy demanding job to do.
Even if you won’t want do that yourself, I see no reason to not reward players for cooperating. Especially if (as you wrote) infantry player gains less exp (via kills), he should be rewarded.

You make a good point and I appreciate the brain storming.

I don’t disagree with incentivizing more team work and deemphasizing wandering around the map aimlessly. I see what you’re trying to say. I’d rather play a game based on team work rather than random death match.
