Revolvers needs a buff

They have in 3 or more damage lower.

Headshot damage multiplier is 200%, or 180% if target wears a helmet. Neck is supposedly always 200%, Torso and Arms 100% and Legs are 60%, if I remember a post about it on the forums correctly (And if that post was correct about it - supposedly the values are from Cuisine Royale, which sounds logical)

If we assume damage falloff is linear, then the guns will lose 1.18% of their damage per meter in the 10 to 100m range.

Nagant should be able to oneshot a non-helmeted soldier up to 10m, but immediately fail to do so as soon as damage falloff kicks in. TK should never headshot and TT should headshot at ~15m but no further. None of the guns should be able to headshot a helmeted soldier, at any range.

By math, if the 180% multiplier is correct, the damage value a weapon needs to oneshot down a helmeted opponent with a headshot is 5.55, which is 0.05 damage more than every soviet SMG in Moscow and 0.15 less than the weakest German SMG’s have (majority of them).

Pistols don’t have upgrades to improve their damage, but SMG’s can all get over this threshold with hitpower upgrade. The only sidearms with over 5.55 damage are the Webley, M1911 and Colt New Service.

When I say ā€˜oneshot’ I mean cause the soldier to be downed (if they have an unused medkit) - soldier health is 10, and downed health is 5. Overflow damage applies to downed health.

In other words, Nagant needs 3, TT needs 3 and TK needs 4 shots to eliminate a full health soldier that also has a medkit - within 10 meter range, and all of them may have too low damage to eliminate a downed soldier in one shot if there’s a bit more range, depending on how low health the enemy is in their downed state.

Also to be taken into account is damage reductions by shooting through windows, bushes, haybales etc.

If someone is able to arrange a controlled test to confirm some of the above then that’d be great. I personally am content with just not using the weapons at all, getting kills is generally such a struggle that I’m better off trying to yolo it with a knife in hand instead.

5?I remember how only with 3 shots of the revolver I finish off the enemy from a distance of 5 meters… Or some more distance.

Should allow pistol upgrades and its weird they still havent. Nice post. It would seem the TT33 should be buffed to match the PPD series at point blank

It is not there because of the rarity of pistols …
I have only about 8 TT for a long game in Moscow.
Although it would be possible to pump pistols for silver orders or for bronze ones.

rly? ive been downed with 80% or more health left tho. it took 9 seconds like normal too. on the flip side ive also been downed but only had to heal for 3 or 4 seconds rather than 9. any thoughts on that anyone?

Did someone shoot you through something like a wooden wall?

which time, the 80% health down or the 3-4 second heal?

because the healing time is based on what perk you’re using and if you are down or not

The downed health does not affect the timers, just how much more damage you can take before you die die.
