Give it’s AP-T/HEI-T belt back?
That would actually give it some limited use outside of just strafing tanks. With the current belt you waste two thirds of your ammo just hoping that the 10 HE shells total land somewhere near infantry. With only every third shot actually beeing usefull.
As for anti tank duties it mostly just comes down to trying to find an angle where you can pen.
Chances are that if you dont find angle, no amount of APHE density of the belt would change the result (only the amount of non pens).
If there are no tanks it’s not useful. And it’s better to use HE against most APCs.
50mm Me 262 is not a ground attacker plane and it is not in an attacker slot. So, AP ammo flies straight through many planes. And with awful maneuverability of the me 262 you can lose many fights because of the current 2-AP,1-HE belt.
Also, considering its rating on gaijin store - something should be done to make it better

Ok
But i think a ME 262 with Rockets would be better anyways!
I talk about a Me 262 with Rockets but no Bombs!
50mm Me 262 couldn’t and didn’t carry r4m rockets. the variant that could carry R4M rockets was Me 262 A-1a
Could it carry bombs too?
I dont care that much about the 50mm version anyways!
no, the cannon was very heavy itself and “Narwhal” was designed to take out bomber planes, so they didn’t mount any bombs anyway
Fair point, i guess the only way to make it good is to buff the cannon by giving it better shells
So many upvotes! But the helper doesn’t say it was taken for the developer. That’s weird.
This plane needs improvement.
Even if they do forward it the devs wont do anything or they would need to admit to making a mistake in changing the belts in the first place.
Also this one would hurt double as in the first Sitrep major specificly pointed to the belt changes for the ME 262 as an example of devs listening to feedback (that one certainly wasnt on this forum do idk from where).
So not only the devs would come of poorly from this but also MajorMcDonals who bragged about this change would need to admit defeat on that one.
I can’t understand what you are trying to achieve here. The ammo belt change patch was made a year ago, and it wasn’t enough, even in the comments Myrm1don was saying that 1:1 would be better. 2/5 rating on the gaijin’s store, ParaDivision in his video 2 weeks ago said that this plane sucks, many other people on discord and forum said it too.
I don’t think that it will hurt somebody to make a change, requested by community, for a vehicle to be better.
You even contradict yourself in your first reply. If you find correct angle on a tank you are strafing - you are going to at least knock out the crew and you don’t need that much AP ammo. So, if there was 1:1 ratio of AP and HE, then you could strafe infantry when there are no tanks, or, at least strafe other planes with your HE shells, that actually do damage on them and don’t fly straight through like AP. And also, this plane takes figher slot, and it was meant to take out bombers, which it does even worse than other BR5 planes because of the same issue with AP shells flying through them. 1:1 AP/HE ratio won’t make anything worse. You can always rearm and do another strafe on a defenseless tank, but when you’re fighting an enemy plane - this belt sucks. And also buffing the cannon is, sadly, the only option to buff this plane because it didn’t carry any bombs or rockets.
How so?
Wasnt that exactly what I said? Just I highlighted that if you cant find the angle the you wont pen regardless the amount of AP in a belt.
I was there for the change and also requested the ammo belts to be reverted the moment they were changed so IDK what you assume I was trying to do here.
It would have helped if they did that when they initially changed that as nobody on the forum had requested an full AP loadout or 2/1 split at the time of the change. Instead the devs did something nobody requested and then also had the balls to not inform the people who had preorderd it that this change was made.
So everyone had to find out that his preorder was nerfed by himself and once a squad was used in a match it no longer is eligable for a refund (if there ever was a chance for one).
