The MP18 is a premium SMG that has been in the game for a long while as a BR2 weapon, however it was really weak for BR2, and people asked for changes to it because it quite frankly was a bad gun that blocked a good part of your screen when aiming. Instead of lowering the gun to BR1, the devs decided to increase the rate of fire to make it more competitive for BR2, 690 RPM. This would be fine if this was a historical value the gun could reach, but it couldn’t, and the previous rate of fire was the highest the gun could reach. This means that the devs made up a number so this gun could fit the battle rating, but it made it innacurate to it’s real life version. I suggest that the rate of fire is returned to the previous correct value (520 RPM) and lowered to BR1. In addition, I think that the reload speed should be improved, as it is noticibly longer than other low BR SMGs at 2.8 seconds for no real reason, whereas most are around 2.3 seconds long.
Should the MP18 have it’s correct rate of fire and be moved to BR1?
Why is there a suggestion for a completely fine smg that’s a premium to be nerfed then put in a different br??? Can we think for like .2 seconds on why this is a bad idea?
And bear in mind this is one of the most popular premium squads in the game right now. People bought it for their br 2 lineups. Pre buff it was practically unusable. I would know as I was one of the people to suggest either buffing it or moving it to br 1. But now that it is buffed it’s cheating the customers to nerf it and essentially make it an entirely different weapon from what they bought.
Because it is the correct, historical rate of fire, not some made up number. Guns should always be given their historical rates of fire and not an alternate value to make the gun better for a certain battle rating. I myself have this squad, and would be happy with this change.
But it’s also a very clearly wrong rate of fire. It would be like having the M3 field mod squad have 600 rpm or something like that on BR2, compeltely false. I get that it changes the gun a lot and some people won’t like it, but still not reason enough not to do it, especially when it also goes down in BR to make up for the ROF change. And as it is atm, Germany lacks a premium BR1 assaulter squad, and this would be a good option.
Let me guess this straight: you want to nerf a gun people spent money on it. You want to bait and switch people on a gun in a game where there are fake prototypes and post war shit: cuz the rof is a little too high.
Then get a br 1 smg premium. Instead of ruining ppls lineups and moving the mp18 from a popular br to one of the least played. And nerfing tf out of it
I just said they don’t have one…. It’s a historical accuracy nerf and nothing is stopping you from taking it into your BR 2 lineup. You’re also wrong, BR 1 is statistically the most played BR due to every new player having to play it when they first start. Lowering it to BR 1 would give new players a cheap way to fast track to BR 2 and sophisticated gentlemen have a BR 1 lineup that it would fit nicely in.
I used the map 18 since awhile and i was pleasantly surprised by its performance… if they were to return it to what it used to be i’d feel devastated
I have no idea where this suggestion came from either… but i wouldn’t have high hopes as devs seem to enjoy killing guns with fire rate changes recently… like wtf? this is a GAME that’s ditched its HA branding.
People have been asking for the SQUAD to be moved to BR 2 since it was essentially released, learn WTF you’re talking about before you start calling people MORON. Does calling names make you feel like a man you dumbass?
I didn’t say nerf it, all I said was people been asking for it for more then a couple years, since it was released (which was probably 4 years ago or more), and you took it to the next level.
I bought the squad years ago when it was first released, it sucked so I, like most everyone else asked for it to be dropped to BR1. It would have been great at BR1 since the Germans did not have any BR1 premium assaulter squads that I can remember, while the Allies had two medic squads and the Soviets one assaulter. So rather then asking it to be buffed I and most people I remember asked for it to be dropped. I actually asked for it to be dropped or unlock the weapons so we could just shitcan the MP18.
The MP18 was the predecessor to the MP28 and MP34 (both were better and are BR1), so, theoretically the MP18 should be BR1, with or without nerfs.
Begging? I am not asking for anything now, and certainly not begging. I’m pointing out that this squad should have never been BR2, thus should have never been buffed to begin with. It belongs with these other BR1 squads. And correction, I had stated that the Allies had two medic premium BR1 squads, It was actually one medic and one assaulter. They have since added more Allied BR1 premium squads, but these were the originals.
