Replay Access Beyond the Game Client

Currently, replays are only viewable when the game is launched and running, which limits how and when players can check them. A more modern approach would be to allow replay access outside the main client, such as through a dedicated mobile companion app, a web-based platform, or cloud-linked accounts. This would make it possible to review past matches, study tactics, and share highlights on the go without needing to open the full game. It would also add convenience for players who want to watch replays while away from their PC or console.

Being able to access replays in this way would add flexibility and accessibility, making the replay system far more practical. Instead of being locked behind the client, players could open them instantly on their phone or tablet, giving more freedom to check games anytime. It would make reviewing matches more natural, whether it’s checking a mistake, showing off a moment to friends, or simply enjoying old games without having to log in. The current system feels restrictive, while a mobile or online option would make the feature much more open, shareable, and user-friendly overall.

To do this, they would basically have to make a complete version of the game for mobile. All the 3D models and textures would have to be optimized for mobile. The code and other parts would have to be almost completely rewritten. Apart from the huge loss of graphics and detail in replays, this would require a huge amount of money. It would almost have to be a new game.
The cost of a stream service would also be high. You won’t find any game stream servers without a subscription. This would require powerful servers.
In general, this is a huge expectation from any game company, let alone a game where they have trouble adding even small quality content and the game servers are always broken.

Sadly that won’t be happening.
The replays that currently exist are binary files that require the full client.
They roughly save locations and mouse movement per player (but the polling is slow which is why it looks so janky in replays).

As somebody else said, they’d have to rewrite the whole thing, which would be good, but that’d require resources (developers, time, and money), which is not their priority.

My advice has always been:
Let each side of the competition have an equal number of console players.
Instead of having one side have 9 console players and the other side have 10 pc players.
0. I agree that there are many excellent console gamers.
But many console players spend more time camping idly than pc players.
② Console players can shoot at the enemies behind the bushes and grass with the help of auxiliary accuracy. Just like the problems existing in robots.
Often, in a 20 to 30-minute game, the console player only kills 20 to 40 people in the cross-play, and he only earns 1,000 to 2,000 battle points.
Far below that of normal pc players.
④ There are many pc players who are also fighting passively, or even deliberately fighting passively.
But they were never punished; only encouraged.

Not necessarily true. Just a replay system accessible through app or online itself through mobile.

my advice is to read OP before posting.

I’ve read OP’s viewpoint, which is too advanced for the current situation of gaijin.
My suggestions are the simplest and most urgent revisions needed.
Then, the replay system should be fixed. On PC, it’s still full of bugs. For example, when a paratrooper opens his parachute, in the replay system, the first-person perspective is forcibly reset instead of continuing to show the player’s perspective as in the actual battle.
And so on. Only when the replay system is perfect enough to be used for effective match reviews and cheater identification, will it be necessary to expand to more platforms as OP suggested.

When a replay is played, all 3D models, textures, audio files, etc. have to be loaded and rendered. It works exactly like the game itself, only you don’t have control over it. (However, a replay is not a video, you can use freecamera, adjust the graphics settings, etc.)

I already said about streaming:

erm…

your suggestion has nothing to do with OP…

As I’ve said, it’s the fundamental improvement of op.
The privileges of console players have already seriously affected one major update (2025).
After a large number of long-term alternative solutions and revisions, it was only recently fully renovated.
Without a foundation, Venice would not succeed.

i seriously doubt your reading abilities… OP wants replays outside game client and you are here ranting about consoles.

I don’t want to say much if you only like to think from X to y based on Y.
So casual.
But please don’t stop others from thinking from A to Z. Even expand to more path nodes.
Even if there are only 0 and 1, the correlation of thinking is very extensive.
Rather than just asking you to think about the brightness of a diode.
From current and voltage, the color and material of the diode, to the environment in which the diode is located, and the way visual signals are received, all are related to it and inseparable.

@Ice_Cricetus Keep the thread on-topic. If you want to suggest something else, feel free to start a new thread. Don’t derail someone elses.
