Why does the 37mm cannon need to be replaced?
Since the Campaign System, the 37mm cannon of the BF 110 G-2 has had problems destroying enemy tanks When it should be able to do it without problems like the 75mm of the HS 129 B-3 But that’s not the case with this cannon. This cannon was even “improved” with a better projectile, if I remember correctly.It was 1-2 years ago. But even then there was no improvement.
In my own experience, as well as that of my teammates, I have seen that they have destroyed more tanks with the WfGR 210mm rockets than with the 37mm cannon.I’ve only destroyed 2 tanks in the entire instance I’ve used this plane I’ve destroyed more tanks with rockets than with the cannon.
Changing the G-2’s armament would be appropriate, and it would look like this.
•Fixed armament: 2 x 30mm MK 108 cannons and 2 x 20mm MG 151 cannons
•Suspended Armament:4 WfGR 210mm rockets and 2 500kg bombs
That’s where the 20mm cannons would go.
Why the 500kg bomb and the 20mm cannons?
•The G-2 has had problems with the MK 108 in destroying fast and agile enemy aircraft, which, with its low projectile speed plus that of the G-2, makes it very difficult to be good in air combat. So with the 20mm cannons this will no longer be a problem and it will be useful for fighting at short, medium and long range in a more efficient way
•The 500kg pumps are designed to be more effective and justify their BR High Where bombs would provide a more efficient way of destroying enemy tanks since the 37mm cannon cannot and is useless Because it’s broken
