Hello everyone,
I strongly believe the Meteor’s bomb loadout should either be updated to 500 lb M.C. (Medium Capacity) bombs or restored to its previous 1,000 lb bombs. Here are my reasons:
- Poor performance of the G.P. bombs
The anti-tank and anti-infantry capabilities of the current G.P. bombs are severely lacking compared to the previous 1,000 lb bombs. In fact, they perform noticeably worse even when compared to other standard 500 lb or 250 kg bombs. As a result, the Meteor’s ground attack ability has fallen far below expectations compared to what it used to be.
Resolving this issue can be achieved either by reverting back to the 1,000 lb bombs or by simply replacing the G.P. bombs with 500 lb M.C. bombs—both options would offer a meaningful solution.
- Firepower deficit in the BR5 tech tree
The BR5 regular tree currently suffers from serious firepower issues across multiple roles:
Machine Guns: The M1919A6 lacks competitive firepower against top-tier opposition.
Tanks: Allied armor struggles significantly in both anti-tank and anti-infantry capabilities. Japan
deploys the Ho-Ri, while Germany fields the Ferdinand and Tiger II (H)—and players with legacy squads can even run both. These enemy tanks have extremely small weak spots, yet they can effortlessly destroy both the Pershing and Super Pershing.
While the P-47 Thunderbolt can usually help cover these gaps, the P-47 has to fight an unfair aerial battle against jets, only to be ruthlessly vaporized by German or Japanese 30mm cannon fire. Overall, US Tier V equipment suffers from a severe firepower deficit.
- The Pay-to-Win (P2W) issue
Q: Is there a way to solve all of these Allied BR5 firepower issues at once?
A: Just buy the premium F-80 Shooting Star.
Ever since the Meteor’s bombs were nerfed, I haven’t been able to shake off this suspicion.
In War Thunder, the Meteor carries M.C. bombs. Why did the developers go out of their way to implement G.P. bombs in Enlisted—a loadout configuration that wasn’t even present in War Thunder—just to deliver this nerf?
If the goal was simply to tune the aircraft down from the 1,000 lb bombs, giving it the 500 lb M.C. bombs (just like in War Thunder) would have been the most logical and straightforward path. Why deliberately assign it G.P. bombs instead?
Since the Meteor was nerfed, we see far more F-80 Shooting Stars in BR5 matches. Is this really just a coincidence?
F2P players are now forced to rely on gear that is explicitly inferior to what paying players have access to. This is the exact definition of Pay-to-Win.
Conclusion
For all the reasons above, the Meteor must either be granted 500 lb M.C. bombs or have its original 1,000 lb bombs restored to maintain faction balance and fair progression.
It is true that Meteor, carrying 1,000 pounds bomb, was excessively powerful.
However, looking at the entire tree, it exerted a bit of force in the air and was weak in other places.
I do not require a T34 or jumbo Pershing.
It’s a simple request.
Please revert it to the 1000-pound bomb or replace it with the M.C. 500-pound bomb
please.
