I suggest replacing the DP machine gun with the DT machine gun in the Universal carrier.
This is what the position of the machine guns looks like DP.
It’s extremely uncomfortable, and it also shows through the texture.
Here’s how DT might potentially look.
It is also worth noting that in the editor, it is labeled as DT instead of DP.
I don’t understand why the DT was replaced with the DP. After all, the DT was used on military equipment in the Red Army. The DP machine gun was exclusively infantry-based and was not intended for installation on vehicles.

also worth to mention historically there were indeed universal carriers issued with a DTM machineguns. and we do have some photos

Wow, that’s right! What a nice surprise! I always thought they were all vehicle-mounted machine guns. Japan’s Type 4 machine gun is still a solid option, and the Soviet arsenal deserves some buffs. The DT machine gun feels much more balanced, since it’s not a specialized reconnaissance variant like the Bren. By the way, are there any mounts for weapons like the DS-39 machine gun? I swear I’ve seen them before, but I can’t remember where to find them.
The Bren is truly an all-rounder. I recall photos showing captured Japanese variants fitted with a small cannon, as well as experimental American vehicles armed with Italian 75mm cannons. Such fascinating historical details!
Well if japan one can get a BRIV mg then i suppose its only fair if soviets do as well
