I’ve seen that there are things you can’t repair on a tank. It would be great if, along with the ammunition refill space, there was also a space to perform more in-depth repairs on the tank, even if you have to do it yourself.
While that is a niche spammer tank, for those who really use tanks properly it would be an extension of their combat aid.
So you’re saying something like in the Battlefield series, where a temporary repair station can be built near the attack point so that the infantry doesn’t have to get out of their vehicles to repair the outside parts of the tanks?
The maps are too small for that, I was referring more to something like in HLL a fixed station (in this case one that moves with the ammunition station) where you can go and well, you have to repair the tank yourself but in that area you can access repairs that you can’t right now, or that it repairs itself in an expected time of 4-5 seconds.
I mean with how the mechanics work, repairing the fuel tank would only add another source of ignition to the tank.
As for ammo? It would be nice if you could discard of a damaged shell to remove it, but I see no need to add it to the repair system.
But also those are both such niche things, not something I think needs to be worked on.
Also the fact the vehicle damage system is copied straight from WT, and WT is slowly in the process of updating the damage models to be more and more details, its started with the more modern vehicles and will slowly work its way back.
