The excessive heat haze effect on certain weapons in Enlisted needs to be removed for three reasons.
First, this effect is only present on certain weapons, creating an unfair disadvantage for players using those weapons compared to others. Second, the effect disappears entirely when using the lowest graphics settings, giving players who choose lower settings an additional competitive advantage over those who play at higher visual settings. This creates another layer of inequality.
Most importantly, the effect severely compromises visibility and hand-eye coordination. Enlisted is an FPS game that relies on precise aiming, visual tracking, and fast reactions. Excessive screen distortion makes it unnecessarily difficult to track targets and aim accurately, fundamentally undermining the shooting experience.
A visual effect should never compromise gameplay mechanics or create competitive advantages based on weapon choice or graphics settings. At the very least, players should be given a separate option to disable this effect entirely, regardless of their overall graphics settings.
Well if you play on PC you technically can toggle it by sacrificing graphics… and thus i am now going to be reducing my graphic settings… thanks dev higher ups! why did i buy a pc anyway? Certainly not to have a disadvantage.
I would want the bullet smoke coming from my gun anyway so I voted no because I wouldn’t want to be forced to not have the smoke coming out of the barrel
As I stated in the final paragraph, I am asking for at least an option to disable this effect. I would kindly ask you to reconsider your vote and support this change.
In fact, most automatic weapons in the game don’t have this blur effect at all. SMGs are unaffected, and among automatic rifles, the AVS- T20 has no blur while the FG 42 II does. This clearly appears to be a bug. The effect is even worse on German MG42 and MG45 machine guns, making them practically unusable at high graphics settings. In practice, this effect disproportionately punishes the German faction…
