Currently you need to have at least 1 vehicle squad in your lineup, but not all players want to use a vehicle.
Current min squad lineup: 3 infantry, 1 vehicle
New min squad lineup: 4 infantry, 0 vehicle

In a game all about infantry this would be big especially with the starter squads for new players.
This would pair well with the upcoming squad slot for event squads. Funny enough I missed that slot announcement as it was buried in the announcement for saboteurs event. Letting new players take potentially 5 infantry squads or 4 infantry and 1 vehicle. I support this as it’s a big quality of life change for the early game players.

I agree there are a lot of people that would just prefer to go all infantry in their decks and i’d add another suggestion to this suggestion make the additional premium squad slot universal, so they aren’t robbed that either.
This is already part of the suggestion, the suggestion is that we shouldn’t have to take any vehicles no matter how many slots we have.
If you’re meaning changing the premium only squad slot premium / event they already have a plan for that, And now there’s two slots. The next one is with the next update.
Oh boy I can’ only imagine the crazy stacks when they add a second premium unit slot.
Honestly, I think the 4-squad limit for new players is way too low.
All the big spenders already have 3 assault squads for strong rotations, plus machine gun and signal squads.
War Thunder at least lets you buy two vehicle slots with silver; only extra slots need gold.
Four squad slots are just way too few.
It creates a huge gap between paying and non-paying players in terms of both strength and gameplay restrictions.

It’s not for premium units, they explicitly said that they were doing this just for event squads. So we’ll finally have one event squad only slot, and one premium only slot.
In my honest opinion they should at least allow each faction one slot for silver, This way a player can at least have the option of four infantry and one vehicle or three infantry and two vehicles. Excluding any event or premium slots.
I think for a permanent unlock if someone bought it for 10K silver I would see it as reasonable considering it would be a permanent unlock.

3 infantry squads + apc (or rider in br1) kinda does this, you can also go 2 infantry + apc + rider altough that implies using the rider squad above br1 which i personally wouldnt reccomend. Having actual 4 infantry squads would be interesting, but isnt that actually worse than 3 infantry + apc setup since you get a second spawn point?
this will be a similar thing with the soviet body armor. Everyone wants it but we won’t get it

I think enlisted being a combined arms game the requirement is good. People could at least bring an APC. But in saying that I think by default players should be given 1 extra infantry slot.
