It’s even worse than the KV-1 was in Stalingrad - no Japanese tank is able to kill it frontally and Pacific maps aren’t nearly as infantry-friendly as the Stalingrad maps are, so you can’t easily sneak up on the Jumbo with a TNT pack. And most importantly, it wasn’t even there, so there is no reason whatsoever to keep it in Pacific.

I thought they specifically said the pacific will be somewhat BR locked due to lack of japs weapons.

It seems like they locked out Allies Tier 5 from playing Pacific, which despite M1919A6 and M1C being locked out is fine solely because of the M2 Carbine. But for some ungodly reason, the Jumbo is in tier 4, not 5…

I guess its due to fact that its quite shit against big cats at br5.
While pretty much invulnerable at pacific.
But considering the fact that BR’s are all scrambled, you might end in br5 game with br3 equipment and so on.
Dont really see it as issue to move it in BR5 which would be easiest fix for pacific.

I guess so. But doesn’t Tier 4 and 5 always play together anyways? From my understanding we have 3 BR brackets - the “early war” consisting of tier I and II, tier III which can play against everything and “late war” consisting of tier IV and V, with Pacific being capped at tier IV because Japan doesn’t have tier V

But is this situation so commen that this is the goto solution?
- The infantry in your clip did not gave a fuck but they could have killed you easy
- The jumbo does not need to push into your ambush until some guy on their flank spotted you
- Jumbo could have spotted that something is up (or enemy marked you) and show armor instead of his side.
This is a band aid fix but surely not the most optimal way to deal with a jumbo
It might work with a bit of luck but could get you killed easiely.

They should, but doubt thats how it works since theres plenty of br3 ppl in br5 games.
And technically even BR2 people that have unlocked that just 1 BR3 equipment that puts them in br3.
More ques & BR brackets were suggested but far as I know, currently its just 2 ques.
1-2-3 and 3-4-5.
Which is absolutely stupid. Since theres vehicles in BR3 that BR1-2 hardly can compete with.
And BR3 definitely cant compete in BR4-5

Lol why even bother to use AT gun at this close? You can just use the explosive pack to destroy it. In most situation you are already killed by the infantry before the jumbo show up.

While i do agree that jumbos in pacific maps are overly strong. Some of what you say is incorrect. There are only 2 tanks that can pen the jumbo. The T4 tank Chi nu and the tank destoyer in t2.
I think it should be removed though because there is a huge difference in power level with US tanks and Japanese. Most Japanese tanks have almost no armour and can be shredded by a 50 cal let alone any AT gun or tank. Secondly even the Ho I one of the last tanks in campaign struggles to pen a Stuart and straight up cannot pen a GRant or sherman.

Not always and also the most reliable way to do it is to shoot the mg port or the cupola.

Jumbo is too weak for T5. Stands absolutely no chance against Tiger II. At least Japanese tanks can pen the jumbo, it’s just difficult.
No idea why they havent done it so, quite sure they said the pacific will be BR locked and what else, due to fact japs missing equipment.
