Do you mean the dark abyss that appears indoors? I believe the intense shadows are a bug, I also get it sometimes (I play on PC FYI). Other times, I get the opposite, and the corners produce light. Restarting my game fixes the issue. Feel free to make a post in the bug reports section, just remember to include proof, platform, etc. to make it easier for the devs to fix.

no seriously at 4 and 5 i can clearly but 1 2 3 are all dark with varying degree

FWIW, I play on PC, it’s not the new hotness but my hardware is pretty good, and I’ve never once encountered deep darkness or bright light where it shouldn’t be.
yea it happens it looks like crap but at rank 4 and 5 the darkness fades well for me it does but on 1,2,3 it like pitch black in window u cant see shit i to have a pretty good rig but not near the best thou

I still hadn’t noticed this, and I still have guys in squads that are 1-3 ranked. What platform are you playing on? This would be a bug worth reporting, if it hasn’t been already, include screenshots if you can get them.

If this isn’t already in bug reports and further development, it should be. If it already is, this should be added to the existing topic. Include your platform, because this bug might be exclusive to one or the other, and if you’re on PC include your hardware specs, because the bug might be exclusive to a specific GPU, Driver version, manufacturer, etc.

Oh rad, what’s your build? If you’re on older hardware or have out of date graphics drivers, it could be causing this issue.

I don’t think thats rank related since all my soldiers are 5 in Normandy, but it also happens sometimes but not every times after last last patch. I even got some lighting like water reflection inside a house.
I think this is some hardware or drivers related since I am playing with an old 970ti in my new PC.

Not fun for gaming, but quite realistic. Just how my grandma’s house looks when she thinks it’s better to be “energy efficient” and not turning on any lights until it’s late.
But the outside glow makes it a pain to play this way.
