But on a more serious note, for me (and a lot of players) it’s the best non-urban map in the game and it’s precisely because of that verticality. There are a lot of closer range weapons that excel on maps like that one, so it’s also good for gameplay purposes.

There’s actually more than one vertical entrance to these caves, and you can spend time exploring the map in the sandbox

Nah Grotto is easy. Gorge is an literal maze
The ship and cave maps are the only good Pacific maps.
I despised Pacific maps so bad that I didn’t even play it until New Georgia update.
