What I mean is the ability to vault the stairs when running up. It’s incredibly infuriating to try and jump and just enter the slowest animation in the entire bloody game. There’s nothing added by the ability to do that.

i often spam the jump button up stairs and it feels like it goes faster i dunno what you mean maybe sometimes it does the animation but nothing that bothers me enough
It would help if they made stairs or ladders in general more functional as there as still a number of them that still are just decorative only.

When running up stairs and pressing the jump button it sometimes starts the vault animation, same as with climbing through windows, and I feel that shouldn’t happen.

I don’t think I’ve ever jumped up stairs before, might have jumped down them…?
Strange behaviour either way.
Not strange really, i do it to get up the ladder quickly, often from a hail of gunfire or to avade a tank, but yeah that slow animation of then getting on to the ladder to climb to where you jumped onto in the first place wastes vital evading time. C’mon, even Mario could do it on the SNES! Xxx
Not sure what you mean, I get enemy bots that vault from the first floor up a set of stairs, never actually touching a step and bayonet me, all in a fraction of a second. 
And have seen enemy bots vault themselves acrost a street without ever touching the street when I am shooting at them. Now them are some Rambots.

But my friends get bombarded with anime gifs everyday.
