The title says most of what I am suggesting. I don’t know if they have made any changes to the AI lately but the path finding is awful, it’s almost never seemed worse. Quite a few times in my last few games I have found that the AI got stuck on small objects, such as decorative telescopes placed in rooms, so I think the devs should remove some of those items until they can find a way to improve path finding, this will by no means be a full fix, but I believe it could make a difference without impacting other gameplay much.
Giving the AI the ability to vault over objects would improve pathfinding aswell.
No…
The Tunisian maps are exquisite. There’s lots, LOTS of props in houses… But I don’t want them removed.
Why? Because it won’t solve the problem. It’s pathfinding they need to fix, not the environment to avoid having to fix it.
I agree with you, I also like the decorations.
I was mostly thinking that they temporarily remove some of them while they work on improving the AI
I’m genuinely surprised they can’t vault, that would also explain why they so often fall behind when I’m running across the map
They can’t? They do, though. On sandbags IF they are smart enough… sometimes they just try to keep running against them…
But removing props won’t do: it would allow devs to ignore the issue longer. Also, houses in Tunisia are simply beautiful, am I the only one that once stood amazed by the architecture in the middle of a firefight?
First unable players building rally points in attics and such till they fix this pathfinding thing for AIs.
Now this is a worthy temporary change. Hate it when players doom their team to a loss because bots are all stuck at attic, leaving players too far from combat every time they get shot.
