With berlin being here for the weekend for everyone to try - that specific perk that takes down the artillery timer to 30 seconds not being allowed in Berlin is actually fantastic.
It is much more enjoyable than both Moscow and Normandy, where on nearly every map, the capture point is non-stop artillery shelling to a point no one can step inside without risking immediate deletion by artillery, and when it’s over, you can bet the second artillery wave is on the way, sometimes even the 3rd or 4th.
The worst I’ve seen is what felt like 5 different artillery waves being fired at roughly the same time all over the enemy area, one side couldn’t get through. The second they stepped in, either dead by artillery, or blinded by shellshock so badly they would just die anyway.
That perk needs to go, or at least be reworked to only reduce the artillery timer down to 2 minute cooldown. Having essentially artillery spam around the clock isn’t exactly fun.
CAS was “fixed” by adding a cooldown timer to it, now increase the cooldown timer for artillery.
