Is it a balance problem? Not really.
Is it annoying? Mildly.
Should it be reworked? It could be but it’s not necesarry.

it literally takes 10 minutes of coding to apply and test additional dispersion for leaning. just copy paste the stupid dispersion MGs currently have on leaning and everything is fine.
enlisted will look childish and idiotic when it manages to get people trying to play it for (historical) realism over stuff like cod and then they see the leaning bs… .
the only reason “few people complain about it currently” is that very few people embarrass themselves with it and therefor its rarely encountered. but once it gets more popular, the forums will be spammed with complains. obv a company needs to see the problem before it becomes too late.

Posture is not the problem. The problem is that when such a guy stands in an open field, the bullets go right through him. This is an exploit used by players.
There’s a bug reporting page, and someone has reported it there before. No result

It should just be the auto lean only because manual lean looks like they broke their back

Definetly it’s annoying, to many people use it atm. Can’t say it’s a major issue, or prevent from getting a kill, but definetly something should be done with it.

i feel like i saw a comment on a similar post saying it maybe an actual exploit due to latency issues to the server, i may be smoking rocks but ill try and find it made sense to me (i barley undertstand how latency works tbf though. edit i found it Please nerf or disable leaning in the open - #15 by 20174184
I thought the same as you, until I realized it’s even worse. Try going in practice with a machine gun, and shoot while leaning vs standing straight. It’s much easier to stay on target, the recoil seems lower to me.
It wouldn’t be so bothersome if it wasn’t for the fact that I shoot such characters in the legs and belly, and the bullets seem to fly through them at such a moment without inflicting any damage.

it feels as if it does slighty make the accuarcy of the guns “smoother” but oh man does it look hilraoius watching some one walking in a field leaning left and right and knowing theres a another human being spamming q and e on a keyboard to try to dodge bullets to end up being killed by a bot through a bush

So you’re just pissed you can’t hit center mass? or someone’s better than you cause they can make a mechanic work better for themselves?
I have enough skill to not abuse an exploit to get easy kills like you or other players that use this tactics

I never had a problem whit pp leaning but yes, in the open should be removed
Exploiting a game bug is a form of cheating. It’s the same as taking advantage of bugs in the law. It’s not cool, but when someone takes it, heads roll.

How is leaning a bug?
I don’t know how the bug leaning, but I know that the leaning is bugged.
I personally have never had any issues with people leaning, even out in the open.
I would hate to have the system to determine if I’m close enough to an object to lean. The last thing I want is leaning to become the new mounting
The fact that it affects weapon recoil positively is bugged. It should be the opposite.

I highly encourage you to do some test runs of shooting while leaning VS shooting upright. You might not have an issue with them, but I think this is still worth looking at. Especially noticeable with machine guns.
