Remove Deathcam

It really doesn’t belong even in an arcade ‘realistic’ shooter. In punishes defenders for defending and makes doing so in squads almost suicidal. Oh, defending your point, good luck after the first kill as that person with 4-5 more bots to assume control of gets to pre fire you.

No. It pisses off campers and snipers so I’m all for it. It’s up to you to reposition yourself and your squad.

I only like deathcam as a final kill thing. Like it should remain because realistically someone is going to figure out where the shooting is coming from. (Flash hiders aren’t very common even among snipers. However it is annoying to have the enemy know exactly where you’re shooting from after one shot hits a player. Like if you hit the AI the player doesn’t get told where you are but vice-versa?

No, I’m afraid it does need to stay. There have been many a time that I have been killed by a practically invisible player and the only way he was eventually killed was by the camera.

It would just be far too infuriating if this wasn’t in as people could just easily camp in bushes or towers and just never be seen.

There are arguments for death cam, you being bad and not being able to use your eyes is not one of them. Almost every gun in this game shoots tracers for some reason, its not that hard.

Camping in an objective based game where more often than not one side is suppose to defend?

Honestly with the tracers and that lack of silencers (duh its WW2) it feels like a crutch for people just to play the game like it’s WW2 COD and be reckless. In Squads it basically means defending involves attacking, because actually playing defensively is just going to get you prefired by the guy you killed second life, third, fourth etc etc life. I almost have less of a problem in it in Lone because it actually involves communication between teammates.

Like I said earlier, reposition your squad after an engagement. That’s your own fault for sticking around and getting slaughtered because the enemy was able to find you in the same spot. Keep on your feet and help your team.

Do you not play any of the maps where you’re suppose to defend a point?

I most certainly do. But the difference between you and I is that I’ll reposition myself, it’s quite simple.

If your argument stratergy is to just insult anyone who doesn’t agree with you, then I see no point furthering this conversation.

But, what I will say is sure, you try ‘using your eyes’ and ‘looking for a tracer’ when a experienced player snipes you from a bush on ‘Fortified District’ in a heavy snow storm from about 30m away with carefully placed Bolt Action rounds and is, as far as the game is concerned, completely invisible because of placement inside a bush.

Even on maps like the village invasion, people can sit in the bushes next to cap no.3 and you have no hope in hell of seeing them if they are stationary.

That’s a you problem because on squads I’ve had zero issue defending an objective or point with the Kill cam. And I only consider myself average in terms of gameplay skill.

  1. Tracers were very common in the second world war. As they are in all wars. Now, typically it’s every 2-3 shots in a rifle with the first bullet in the clip being a tracer typically to make a follow up shot. I agree every shot is a bit much but this is beta still.

  2. I know silencers didn’t exist but I mentioned flash hiders because the muzzle flash is pretty noticeable to anyone looking in the general direction.

I think I must have played with you before, you’re probably one of those defenders when the enemy is capping the point you’re busy repositioning yourself to anywhere -but- the point.

You clearly haven’t because I throw myself onto the objective 24/7. Only exception is when I need to destroy tanks or flank the enemy.

I’d like more tracers TBH, just because they look so fucking dope.

So you want to sit there and snipe nonstop with no counter? AHA

I actually don’t have the sniper equipped on any of my campaigns. I just don’t enjoy the gameplay of squads when it literally devolves into everyone prefiring everyone because they saw deathcam and each of them have 4-6 lives.

It strongly discourages and punishes camping, which is a good thing in this game. Why do you want an anticamping measure removed?

It’s a stupid mechanic in a game that gives you multiple lives in your squad mates. Like I said previously I honestly don’t even mind it so much in lone wolf because it promotes communication. All it promotes in squads is incredibly aggressive behavior from defending because you can’t hold angles against prefires.

Also it’s not TDM or DM it’s an objective based game. If the defenders are camping that’s what they’re suppose to do. If the attackers are camping they’re not playing objective, thanks for making it easier to hold the objective.
