Damage Reduction existing for those things is, in my opinion, stupid and shouldn’t be in the game. If you deploy your Paratroopers in a way that they’d all get wiped out, i. e. directly onto the objective, then that’s a mistake that should result in wiping out the entire squad.
With the Emplacements, I noticed it on AT and AA guns, it’s even worse. Why should being in an AA gun make you resistant to being shot in the head? Shooting someone in the head while they’re using an emplacement shouldn’t do less damage.
That’s a gripe I’ve always had. And the M13 GMC. Their heads are exposed - if I shoot their heads with a bolt action, (or any gun), it should instantly kill them. Not bounce off and do like 0.5 damage.
Also I never noticed paratroopers having spawn protection. I wiped out a squad as soon as they spawned the other day. Almost felt sorry for him.

You’re just more likely to shoot them in the legs, so they can take more damage
With AA guns there’s no splash damage in the air so you deal minimal damage
Paras have vitality as a starter perk meaning you can get double like flametrooper 2… probably what gives you this idea.
Getting shot by a 20mm AA should tear a guy apart no matter where it hit

For tank gun we all know hitting enemy directly will deal maxium splash damage
If im not mistaken the splash damage doesn’t trigger on paratrooper iirc
I guess that’s to prevent them from being killed on the transport plane
But it have to be fix, AA should deal normal damage to paratrooper when they drop
They should lose splash protection once leave the transport
Well it could be hit regs issue (not triggered the splash)related on server since it splash works fine on the paratrooper plane afaik
