Long before the merge was released I honestly thought that things like StG44, Mp43/1 and mkb42 would be replaced with a single weapon and depending on the map you are playing you get the Stg version which is historically the most accurate for that campaign.
But that would also mean a kursk without a panther⦠which also would be strange as it was their big debut and can hardly be seperated from that campaign.
I can live without the Panther, they were impressive for sure but had major teething issues so they broke down quickly in combat due to being rushed, ofcourse these issues were solved, but only months later.
Its actually the Tiger I H1 that MUST be in Kursk.
Tiger means BR4 and T-34-85 in Kursk again (it didnāt exist then).
So, unfortunately, in the āCurrent Enlistedā we can only have BR 1-3 Kursk. Without Panther and Tiger.
Luckily, most German tanks at Kursk were not Panthers or Tigers:
- StuH 42/Sturmpanzer IV ~ 100
- Tiger ~ 146
- Panther ~ 200
- Stug III ~ 466
- Pz III ~ 668
- Pz IV ~ 702
So BR3 Kursk would still be much more historical
well Panthers did,
also we have KV 2 in Berlin, and Tiger II in Stalingrad, so T34 85 might not be good, but better than that for sure.
Nope, better Kursk without Tiger/Panther than Kursk with T-34-85 from the future.
But in all honesty Kursk/Prokhorovka is just āfieldā.
We might as well have Operation Bagration 1944 where all BRs can play.
This is why I never understood why people pick it over Kharkov or Kiev (that could both low and high br).
Something I really hate about high BR maps that are sneaked into low BR are tank wrecks. My profil picture is Yukari because I can tell any WW2 tank by a glance, I hate seeing Tiger I, Panther and Sherman wreck on BR1-2 matches that donāt even have those tanks!
The panthers in the game are late models that didnt exist in kursk. We should have panther D
