Currently, the Attacking Team has the advantage in the Invasion game mode. The main reason is that the Capture Zone on the Point is not actually based on a Structure on the Point itself, but rather a giant circular perimeter that is over 50-75 meters in diameter on some points.
This causes problems because, on the majority of maps, the invader can sit on the edge of the capture perimeter and take the point, while the defending team, on many Points, can’t even shoot where the enemy team is camping without going out the sides—or sometimes out the back—of the main Structure to hopefully go and find the invaders before they capture the point.
This is hardly noticeable if all 10 VS 10 squad slots are occupied by real players, especially since both teams spamming Artillery, Mortars, Tanks, and Planes are killing everyone the moment the point is touched. This is reason why I try to get Bot matches in the first place; its the only way to slightly even enjoy the game. But Germany is the hardest nation to get bot matches on, so we end up getting 4–8 real players VS 4–8 real players, meaning that sometimes each team can have 2 to 6 bot squads.
Bot squads are what ends up costing us every single Point. Bot squads don’t treat Points like real players do. Real players show up and immediately storm the main Structure, instead, Bots approach the point and stop moving once they enter into the zones capture perimeter, they seem to stop marching after entering the point for five seconds inside the point, meaning they often camp really close to the edges. But due to their squads default settings being set to standard formation, their 3 to 5 other bot squadmates causes them to be forced further into the zone until they end up with the Default Standard Spacing from eachother.
But all it takes is 2 or 3 enemy bot Teams to cause the point to be lost, since they are extremely hard to keep off the outer edges of the point because they will keep coming back, forcing you to either ignore them or try and find them—but you’ll often get intercepted If you try to go outside to find and kill them.
For this reason, the defending team can very easily lose the point, since if there is 3 enemy bot squads, there can be anywhere between 9–15 bots that can be outside near the edges. The smallest bot squad is 3 players (Sniper or Artillery), while the largest is 5 (Rifleman).
So a 7 Player Enemy Invading Team will be accompanied by 3 bot squads—9–15 persons who will sit close to the Capture Zone edge. You can very easily lose the point once your team gets thinned down. Trying to push towards the enemy spawn edge to find the bots can very easily lead to the enemy’s intercepting you, as they are always flowing in.
There are many ways to fix this nonsense. For one, the Capture Zone should be based inside a structure, not a ridiculously giant circle that is often biased on one side, and even within the structure, it should not include things like a long connected trench system.
And the Defenders should actually be given time to build defenses. From the time the new gray zone fully sets in, there should be a minute at minimum that the next zone is inaccessible to the invading team.
Or at the very least force the invading bots to rush the center of the point like real players do.
