Reloading from an enemy ammo crate

Playing as Germans in a custom match in Tunisia, I had an assaulter squad using the short barreled Event MP-35’s. I had my engineer who was carrying a Scotti Mod X semi auto, and had just lost one of my MP-35 carrying soldiers, so I dropped the Scotti and picked up what I thought was my short barreled MP-35 from my dead soldier, but had instead picked up an enemy MP-35/1 (Enemy because the computer had put my German squads on the side of the Allies). Anyway, When I went to use it, it had only 32 rounds, which I thought was odd since I had barely fired it. Then I noticed it was NOT my Event MP=35, but in fact the MP-35/1. So, I built an ammo crate and found out that I could not reload the damn SMG because it was an enemy weapon. I ended up dropping the MP-35/1, then dropped an MP-35 Event SMG from another soldier, reloaded that SMG, then dropped the weapon again and picked it up with the original soldier. The enemy MP-35/1 was fully reloaded, as well as the Event SMG, so, I learned something new today. However, I had to do this EVERY time I wanted to refill my ammo with the enemy MP-35/1, so that kind of sucked.

So, if I did not explain it good, when I reloaded the event MP-35, that ammo transferred to the enemy MP-35/1 when the soldiers had swapped guns. I just thought that was interesting since this is the first time I have ever reloaded my smg from an enemy ammo crate. :joy:

I love this sort of non logic, still they probably never intended for that to happen.

It is idiotic that you can’t take ammo from an enemy ammo crate “IF” that ammo is of the same caliber, just like it is idiotic that you cannot use an enemy med kit. But I would have to say the truly idiotic part is the fact that the computer put my German squads on the Allies side instead of the Germans, whom we were fighting. So, I guess my squads sold out mein Fuhrer and became traitors to the Third Reich.
