Would pay money for these national symbols, german ja japanese included.
What exactly counts as an IS-2 derivative? Well, well put. It uses the IS series chassis, so what follows next?
The IS-1 is also BR 4 with merely 90 millimeters of frontal armor, penetrable even by the Panzer IV. So why can’t this vehicle stay at BR 4?
The IS-2’s firepower, tailored for demolishing concrete fortifications, leaves it severely lacking anti-infantry capability. It was always meant to belong to BR 4. Look at the current state of Soviet vehicles in the game—yet people still shift the blame unfairly. Are you being reasonable at all?
Or have you bought into absurd marketing claims, much like SIG Sauer boasting their rifles can pierce BTR armor at a hundred meters?
As for the 30mm cannons on the tech tree vehicles, that is not our concern. In-game Soviet infantry are equipped with damage-reducing plate armor and AVS-36 rifles comparable to the 422 model. People claim they are overpowered and fully capable of taking down the King Tiger.
Yet no one who makes such remarks ever explains how to destroy a King Tiger while under fire from twin MG42 machine guns and 88mm high-explosive shells.
Is that really reasonable?
it’s actually a derivative of a KV, since IS itself is a derivative of KV via the KV1S>KV13+KV85
in essence it’s a KV2 with no turret and similar armor
Ty,
again any reason specifically why its BR5? Normally I would have considered this BR4 material these days. Premium MG KV2 is br3 and basically packs the same punch but with a turret… so I dont see the reason for the current battle rating?
idk how good ISU is but if it can 1 shot tiger and tiger 2 then i’ll take it.
also i would have prefer the saboteur score system but whatever.
I think it’s mostly the sticker shock from the amount of grinding to get to the ISU and the rewards to it. For a player just starting out, this can feel like mission impossible…vets feel the grind is a lot for ANOTHER Soviet reward.
But me…grind, grind in hopes it somehow increases my chances in the Silver chests lol
Here you go:
Spoiler
another soviet oriented event where they can get nice toy and others meh, can we speak already about bias or no?
They can always pay for it with premium currency.
Armor are not good, and can be destroyed in 1 shot by top attack of KTH with HE, but the problem is that Ferdinand cannot be destroyed.
KTH’s ammunition depot is positioned in the middle, but Ferdinand and Ho-Ri are positioned in the rear, so it’s impossible.
Now you definitely need to separate the event rewards pool from the BP vehicle skins pool in the Silver Box.
Locking something so strong behind a 0,01% chance of dropping it is gonna frustrate all the players that miss the event in the near future. Remember when the event vehicles had their own pool? If you missed 1 event vehicle, there was a full 1% chance to get it. Now it is more and more unlikely with every passing BP season because the new skins are thrown into the event vehicles’ probability pool.
You keep talking about the ISU-152’s survivability, but have you considered the survivability of an infantry squad? They’re facing a 152mm howitzer; a single shell has the destructive power of a 500kg aerial bomb. Do you think it’s fair to lower its tier? An infantry squad might be wiped out before they even have a chance to get out of the way. How are infantry supposed to cope? Enlisted combat is primarily infantry-based; vehicles are secondary. Have you forgotten that, or are you doing this on purpose?
It’s much better than Ho-Ri and Ferdinand.
AT infantry can’t destroy them.
At least the armor are terrible on this side, so it’s easy to destroy with AT infantry.
No, no, no, don’t confuse the concepts. The IS is a derivative of the KV, but it is definitely not a KV. The KV’s armor and firepower were several generations behind, so don’t try to change the subject. Vehicles from 1939 are not the same as vehicles from early 1945, understand?
Ehhh, no?
Eh, nope.
Plus, the T-34-100 is objectively way better than the ISU. And that tank has been in the box for who knows how long already.
Literally nothing has changed with this addition.
Prejudice has always existed. There used to be a Superman in a Breastplate; now, if ISU-152 lowers its tier of units assigned to it, there’ll be Soviet Transformers.
the is 2 is a 1943 vehicle though
We’ll see
Probably 4 is doable depending on feedback
Certainly not 3 tho, it’s not popular
Yeah. I’ll be playing the game, no matter if there’s a event on or not. For one because I like the game, and because I am grinding silver for the chests.
But, I can recognize that, for everyone outside of my bracket (competent + plays the game a lot, persumably includes most everyone here,) these events are intimidating. I have, on multiple occasions, tried in vain to get my IRL friends to grind the events of this game. For people who might only play once a week, suddenly spending multiple hours every two days for a lengthy period of time is going to be daunting…
Many won’t even try at all, especially if you’re not that skilled in the game (understandable if you only play semi regularly).
Now, this isn’t a specific failing of just this event, but rather a larger failing of the event model of the game… I don’t have a specific solution, except one that some have been floating around, 5/8k every day. It’s less intimidating than 25k, and more achievable after three to four games “with the boys” (ie, you’re just having fun).
If you insist on downgrading the ISU152 to Tier 4, then I think it’s more appropriate to revert the Bison 2 back to Tier 2. Since you have heavily armored tank destroyers that can be downgraded for use, why should the unarmored Bison 2 assault gun be pitted against an armored KV-2 at Tier 3? That’s unfair.
