I agree with you. The Breda PG is definitely a better VG1-5. For example, it works really well in the STG 45 (M) Squat BR IV for the AT Gunner. The only problem is that, at BR IV, it feels like you’re almost always matched against BR V and rarely against BR III.

It’s basically vg that can 1 tap in close range and 2 tap almost any range while keeping low recoil of VG.

If it were just against BR3 and 4, it would be really good, but in BR5 its damage is relatively low; you’re up against automatic rifles that have the same magazine capacity and damage but half the rate of fire and just semi auto, Actually I don’t think that’s even the case anymore, since they recently buffed the damage on several rifles, even the G41 deals more damage now, I haven’t checked yet if the Mondragón (30) got that buff too, but they aren’t exactly the best choice for BR5. BR4 is a different story, though you rarely get BR3-4 matches.
Yeah, that was the impression I got; its damage doesn’t really convince me for BR5 matches, but it seems suitable for an engineer squad in BR4 that’s assuming you’re actually lucky enough to get a BR4 match. That’s the only scenario where BR4 semi-autos actually have a reason to exist; the ZH-29, for instance, is really good compared to Germany’s other semi-auto options, but it falls short at BR5 and is quite expensive to upgrade.
I think this speaks to the generally cursed nature of BRIV gameplay…
I’ve noticed a LOT of BRIV stuff getting pushed in Events etc. recently. I wonder if that is because they’re hoping that putting shiny new toys at the tier will convince people it isn’t awful to play at? They probably need to look at a different way to make playing at that BR feel like something other than being the turkeys in the BRV turkey shoot.

I’d say so; I have several BR4 loadouts, including event ones. The Mondragón 30 is excellent for Engineers, and the Kiraly is decent. BR4 is fun because it features the most realistic weaponry possible for each faction semi-autos and SMGs are a blast, unless you’re up against a bunch of players using prototype automatic rifles, 100-round LMGs, and assault rifles. I like playing Germany in BR4 because that’s where you find gear that can actually go toe-to-toe with Allied weaponry from BR3 and BR4; the Kiraly can really punish Thompsons and box-mag PPSh-41s, the ZH-29 holds its own against the SVT-40, and the MG42 rivals the BAR in accuracy. However, it’s useless against BR5; in fact, I don’t even consider the newer Suomi KP31 superior to the BR4 PPD-34, yet it’s ranked as BR5. It’s even worse with Japan equipment, BR4 is going to be a dead end until BR5-6 eventually comes out.

I’ve got my eye on that Cei Rigotti and a second Breda PG for my engineers; planes are a real nuisance at BR 3, 4, and 5.

Give the event p39 some AP round to it’s cannon please, otherwise it;s kinda not worth taking
