Well the premium P-63 runs out of mg ammo faster then it runs out cannon ammo you are left with 12 - 15 cannon rounds this one is better even will make people less greedy and will always have some mg ammo since this one will run first out of mg ammo then cannon ammo.
In a way, that might actually be sufficient, since we are mainly facing Japanese and German tanks.
Essentially they have thin‑hulled designs with large internal volumes.
Could it perhaps perform similarly to the Yak‑9K?
Yak 9 K ??? Don’t even put them on the same category Yak-9K 45 mm cannon can destroy even king tiger is one of the most unique Soviet planes it has high velocity 45 mm cannon while this thing has low velocity 37 mm that is worse then 37 mm NS-37 cannon on the Yak-9T that also has 30 rounds and no bomb at all and its BR III but the cannon is better. The Yak 9 K is one of the best vehicle killers in the game.
Hope one day USSR gets Yak-9UT with the 45mm cannon will be a beast.
Looks like this 37 mm autocannon does not have APHE rounds.
In the end, it is still somewhat lacking.
yeah it sucks for high BRs its only good against low BRs since Japanese and German tanks dont have armor at the top at lower BRs.
Now I remember, the Yak‑9K was so effective precisely because it had APHE rounds.
Meanwhile at BR 3 for the US, players already have the P‑38J / G for highly‑effective anti‑infantry work, and the XA‑38 as an option.
Looking at it this way, this aircraft would only really be an air‑superiority fighter. It cannot replace the existing planes, and it lacks APHE ammunition to compete against them.
At the end of the day, it would feel rather uninteresting
For majority of US players since even a hellcat is better however not for me I love P-63 and I will love playing P-39Q-5 not to mention it comes with a squad so dont miss it its free aircraft squad. Specially at BR III will be good since P-63 biggest problem is jets and at BR III there is no jets.
Oh, that is indeed an important detail.
A full squad! A brand‑new squad! Instead of just giving you an aircraft for this event, you get a complete squad.
New players can place it in the dedicated event‑squad slot, effectively gaining an extra squad slot. That part is quite meaningful.
For veteran players who have already unlocked everything, however, it barely makes any difference.
Might as well keep cycling between the FAP Hellcat and the XA‑38, playing as airborne ground‑support aces.
Sigh, I wonder when the Soviet P‑63 will finally be moved down to BR 3
Its free premium basically that’s a good event in my book and I’m gonna take KE7 50 I didnt play the rest of the events but this one I will get to the plane I hope its worth it.
Speaking of the KE‑7 (50).
What a pity. During a bug, this gun could be used at BR 3. I wonder if that was originally the intended plan.
It is basically comparable to a modified DIY‑style MG34, tuned for better stability by lowering its rate of fire.
I see no issue putting this weapon at BR 3. The MG34 also uses 50‑round magazines.
I think the rarity of event‑exclusive weapons could justify adjusting their battle‑rating.
It will make the TT KE-7 obsolete.
No, it would not be that bad.
How overpowered could it really be?
Since the last event, there are at most two of these machine‑guns in circulation combined.
How much of an impact can that make? BR 3 already has machine‑guns with 50‑round magazines.
Well not super overpowered but it will be a bit OP. I loved it at BR III but for sure was a strong gun I love it wish there was Chinese faction.
I do not think that is likely.
When DF works on subjects they are unfamiliar with, it is like British‑made films about Napoleon getting heavily criticised by the French.
Even the August Storm map already feels disjointed and unrealistic.
Even if you lay all the original combat documents right in front of them, at best they would produce another Burma‑3.0‑style map, an eyesore for players.
In some respects, Red‑Sun‑2 and various mods are more historically‑faithful than DF’s work.
Unless they completely rework Far‑East‑theatre maps and replace assets copied from Burma and Pacific‑theatre levels, the prospect of a proper China theatre is very slim.
It might be better to simply crowdsource player‑made mods instead.
Well, take the MP41‑R for example. Some weapons are extremely overpowered precisely because of their rarity.
Still, that power matches their rare status.
What is the point of players grinding an event just to get a gun they will never actually use?
Just bind your canon button to different keybind than your mg keybind, it’s more than enough if u are decent at flying.
DF dont claim to be historically correct even when you open the game they have a disclaimer.
That is really shameless!
Just like those one‑sided disclaimer clauses they updated recently.
Completely irresponsible.
Is this another fake setting claim like the previous squad preset cloud save, or do I understand it wrong?
It works.
Like, you can command vehicles/weapons from other allied players when empty.
It doesn’t work with APC vehicles since they’re mobile rallypoints (at least it makes sense to me XD).
I feel like it randomly resets back to default when im not looking. I always have it off but recently some guy still managed to drive off with my tank.
