Regularly leading my team to defeat

I’m wondering if anyone else has this happen to them. A good percentage of the time I am losing; I am also first on my team, and usually not by a small margin. Is this some quirk of the matchmaking? Am I just an extremely middling player?

Happen all the time for me with Japan. Basically most of the good player will focus on one or two faction (like US and soviet rn) will other leaving the remaining side with average players and bot, making it difficult to win with them.

It’s the curse of veteranship.

You know the game better, so you often end up carrying EVEN WITHOUT TRYING…

There’s nothing to do, that I know of.

2 good players can win a match. Alone, it’s much difficult doing all tasks at the same time…

No, I’m just exploting the current system and leave any team I’m not happy with.
There’s no reason to waste my time while others can do exactly what I am doing atm.

And I would also highly recommend you to desert any team that is utterly desperate in the first few minutes. Literally the only negative effect is that you lose one point every desertion in the ranking system, which has completely irrelevant rewards anyway.

If you don’t abuse this system, you will only be laughed at by those who do.
That’s the current game design of Enlisted. Join the dark side.

I hate it so much. :'))

I would say being the top of the leaderboard means nothing in general.

There are few exceptions. Veterans who know this game in and out will be the determined factor of the outcome. The impact veterans have in this game is not to be underrated. After some games (stomps) I watch the scoreboard and just think; “damn, this would’ve been a hell of a interesting and even game if I wouldn’t have been in it”.

But even a skillful veteran will lose a ton of games if he’s/she’s against a team of at least 3+ competent players.

what faction/BR are you playing btw?

Yeah, especially since there’s an artificial modified scoring that clearly favours vehicles, especially tanks. Even though they do have way lesser impact on outcome of battle than infantry has (cuz they’re unable to cap)

I honestly don’t understand why the scoreboard just doesn’t show real base exp. Maybe then even some leaderboard hunters would play quite differently.

I’ve never understood the tank/plane assist to be frank. Why we have this XP-mechanic, I mean.

I remember asking helpers and other veterans of this game but never got any explanation as to why.

What do you mean by this, btw?

Scoreboard points are completely made up values that do not reflect real exps in basically any way.
Scoreboard points are just a kind of motivation that jumps in your face during the match and pushing you to do certain actions.

Meanwhile, you’re rewarded with exps, but at a completely dissimilar amount and in completely different way.

It’s pretty worth to very often die with whole squad if you want to exp quickly btw. (Which I guess is just so that the casuals who didn’t do anything in the game and just got slaughtered are also rewarded and have the desire to continue playing/grinding)

But since scoreboard point rewarding system encourages pretty weird thing anyway. I believe never ending suicide charges would be way better and more enjoyable than just encountering campers in greyzone with howitzers.

As of late (past few weeks, at least on EU servers)
BR2 Germany and BR2 Japan are just not doing great
Both fight super overpopulated BR2/BR3 USA, while often full of literally brand new players sent to the meat grinder by default play all factions selection
There is usually maybe 2 or 3 people who even can build rally points in the team, so the USA “marshalls” (half the time can’t win a standup fight with a damn bot squad) just run out and swarm the singular ones (usually by spamming assaulters and nades), while often they have several respawns of their own, including the damn bren carriers hiding in every bush
If you are attacking, you will just run out of tickets. If you are defending, the spam will just zerg you half the time
It won’t get better until the imbalances are adressed IMO
For other BRs it’s just a bit of a lottery in my experience. Made worse by the tendency of stacks/“good” players to ragequit at a drop of a hat

I dunno, I usually find vehicles the most impactful, if they are doing useful stuff. The best example is the Depressing Heights (fuck that map) and its Kigor hill on 2nd cap. Leave the KT’s wrecking everything with impunity? You will 99% of the times lose.
Grab a P-47, blow up all the tigors, HVAR everyone off the point/HVAR all the APCs and rally points? That point is gone in a minute
Germany denies air? Back to easy win for Germany
Same with any other monsters. A single uncontested 105 can win the game, just by literally blowing every defender/attacker with no recourse
Planes are also great for dealing with non-obvious objectives. You can spot enemy tanks. You can clear up spawnpoints/APCs. Someone built an HMG? Strafe them, see how they like it
Of course, if someone is hogging the fighter slot to chase down bombing runs after they dropped their bombs, while your vehicles are getting shredded by enemy air, their score is worse than worthless lol

Join the winning side so you no longer lose, or put extra effort on the losing side, enough effort to replace your entire team alone

Mostly Japan BR2, grinding to BR3, at this point.

In a lot of battles I find I simply can’t get in a vehicle because either the team can’t even look longingly at the enemy point without getting a lethal case of ballistically induced lead poisoning; or can’t defend our point from one GI with a boot knife and a passive aggressive attitude. I mean, that and I can’t seem to win a tank battle against an enemy tank with no gunner, driver, or crew at all, because I’ll probably manage to blow myself up, somehow; despite the fact that the game doesn’t actually let me do that.
