Reducing the APC distance required

While I believe the distance required for APCs being set at 50 meters from the centre was fine that is apparently not one shared by the developers. Thus I suggest reducing the distance to 65meters from the centre as APCs at the moment have been nerfed to being useless on a lot of objectives.

This is an incredible suggestion, which should slap some sense into the developers. What the heck were they doing.

The A.I pathing in this game is still horrible.

It wouldn’t be a big deal on the distance if the a.i were retarded.

Changing distance back to 50 would do fine.

At least until they improve other areas ingame that need attention…

Also, forgot to mention, measuring from the centre was in my opinion the far superior option. While the distance to the edge of the zone could be very short on some maps it gave much needed consistency to the APC one could rely on for every map. Now the values can be something extremely odd like 78 meters on the Far Eastern map or 65-70 meters on other maps

Literally every apc that you try to set on a flank now is forced to be in the open.






Huh… it’s almost like without the sound that’s where they were best placed.

They rewarded proper placement and could be hidden but not invincible… seems they didn’t like that and now the enemy has to be blind to not destroy your APC.

Id also put forward that we should be able to spawn at rallypoints and APCs right next to each other. I dont see why that cant be the case.

Ideally spreading out is good but there are many maps where that’s just not possible, there might be only one building that actually offers some form of reasonable cover for an APC.

I know when driving APCs it is also not always apparent where rallypoints are so you can unintentionally park near an existing rallypoint.
Due to poor minimap design this renders the existing rallypoint un-useable.

In hell let loose there is a vertical list of spawns (generated and player built) and you click which one you want rather than having to rely on clicking on the mini map where rallies that are too close together mean you cant select either.

I always considered it reasonable the way it was. Having the drawback of the APC spawning 200-250 meters away, then having to drive to the point, but being able to place it much closer than a rally point seemed fair. I live the APC life, I have multiple APCs in all my lineups and this new change it certainly affects my gameplay style. Many maps apart from the ones that have been quoted are very exposed already. Like Gavutu, for example. I can’t no longer spawn close to those damn little islands, and now my team and I have to swim unnecessarily, and I already hate that map enough. I can’t imagine what it is playing airfield where the open space around the hangar is already terrible enough. Wish they would revert this out of the update.
