I was afraid of this: I’m certain it’s supposed to be equivalent, or maybe a bit lower than the cost of leveling the firearm, when the new economy system (silver only to buy weapons, bronze only to upgrade) will get implemented.

Me too, but I’m very worried of what the new costs will be. Imagine max starring a 6 star SINGLE firearm cost 120 bronze 
They could pull a gaijin here.
Edit: looking at the new “premium” squads exorbitant prices, I would not be very surprised…

Is more fast buy and upgrade it directly in the campaign
I remember a line Keo wrote very clearly:
“You will only be able to buy weapons with silver AND GOLD” “bronze will be used to lvl them, GOLD can be used as well”

If I remember correctly, extra weapons should be able to be turned in for bronze orders instead of parts, and parts will be automatically traded for bronze orders too once the update hits.
then dont move your guns
