Choosing the load for your fuel tank in warthunder is an essential mechanic relating to dogfights and battles where the game goes on for quite a bit
Fuel tank loads in enlisted par from jets (which, the meteor did not need at all) are all set to full… which is basically soft nerfing the planes flight capabilities.
Usage of full fuel tanks in real life and in WT were primarily for strategic bombers and long range missions… neither of which we have in enlisted.
Pilots in real life also knew of this and would drop their external tanks when entering combat and even P-51 pilots were on file noted to intentionally burn fuel during the flight to combat to increase their flight performance. (Taken from Bud Anderson P-51 memoir “Things happen quickly. We get rid of our drop tanks, slam the power up, and make a sweeping left turn to engage”)
The aircraft that could benefit from it i list here… perhaps halving them across the board would be an adequate improvement.
However if not all of these at the very least half the load of FW190 series, P51 series and BF 110 G2 as these are the worst perpetrators.
