Why does almost nobody use the red mark? It help a lot those who try to survive as long as possible every soldier…
For the same motive why the human spirit is not perfect, ego.
Pp want all the enemy for themself + no point for marking unit
In super intense, high-level gameplay where both teams are full of 10v10s, marks are used to great effect - because they NEED to be used to win games. I’ve had so many great games where this is the case!
New players aren’t likely aware marking is an option, how to do it or what it even does. And there’s some new players in nearly every game you play.
And then there’s what @141748660 said - people just can’t be bothered, or forget. And I imagine this is 90% of the reason why people don’t use them much.
I always mark if it’s long range I’ve developed a habit of it
Close quarters combat (the majority of enlisted combat) is a different story
You don’t have time to effectively mark an enemy in quick succession without avoiding death unless you’re spamming that v key
three reason
one im busy shooting not marking, and either i dead or they dead
two its not worth marking one soldier
i dead
Free advice:
The longer you survive, the lower your XP gain.
2 major reasons usually:
-
players are only concerned with themselves. They don’t mark things because they are too focused on their individual score, rather than helping the team win. (Personally I think they need to develop more incentives to working as a TEAM rather than only focusing on solo score. Even if you are playing solo, you should be focused on helping the team win.)
-
I play on xbox, and i’ve definitely met a fairly large number of players that are giving up the ability to mark targets in favor of other control options, such as leaning.
Again this leads back to the first point, which is they are more focused on their own score that they don’t deem marking targets worth the button.
Bonus:
Not a lot of players know this, as its not listed in the game, and I wouldn’t even know if it weren’t for the Combat Notes videos…
Marking with those markers actually makes the AI focus on targets in that area!!!
Meaning you can make your AI much more effective by dropping marks, not just your human teammates!
Ah you’re more on the way back than on fight
But more chance to see the enemy, and win xp as engineer, or withe team work
Right
Yep…I think it’s just that I can’t hunderstand it…my ego is like a sniper, looking for team when shooting
